☀️ Staying Hydrated in Hot Weather ☀️

With temperatures set to rise this week, now is a really important time to think about nutrition, hydration and wellbeing for the people we support.

Dehydration can happen quickly during hot weather and may affect energy levels, concentration, mood and overall wellbeing, particularly for older adults and individuals living with dementia.

To help support services, teams and activity providers, we’re resharing NAPA’s Nutrition and Hydration Toolkit packed with practical ideas, conversation starters and simple ways to encourage eating, drinking and social connection throughout the day.

Inside the toolkit you’ll find:
💧 Hydration ideas and prompts
🍓 Food and drink inspiration
☀️ Seasonal activity ideas
🫖 Meaningful mealtime engagement
🍉 Simple ways to encourage regular fluid intake

Download the Toolkit Here: https://digital.napa-activities.co.uk/view/1063712543/

A gentle reminder too that hydration can be supported through enjoyable experiences, social opportunities and person-centred approaches, not just drinks rounds.

Please do share with your teams and networks to help keep everyone safe, comfortable and supported during the warmer weather.
