So it's taking me to until now to feel able to write a post about what I witnessed on Friday... North Ayrshire Council's health and social care partnership changing their eligibility criteria to critical only. I watched the live stream of the IJB meeting and all but one board member voted for the motion to be passed. This was after arotest had taken place outside Cunninghame House which was part of alongside Mitchell, Pauline Lunn and many others

Critical care only??? What does even mean??? Being kept clean safe and dry probably. How is it going to be assessed??? What's critical for and to me is totally different to what is critical to someone else and so it should be, we are all individual. is this just going to be down to what someone else deems critical, not what is critical to/for the person.

I know money can be tight for local authorities but I also know there is plenty of money to go around. It's more to do with priorities. When are we going to start prioritizing disabled people? I struggle to see what the next steps are right now but surely this can't be the end of the story?

This morning Y.O.U and I will be delivering myAccess to Work training in partnership with Apt Scotland as part of their Apt Glasgow Project.

Despite the continuing challenges Y.O.U and I continue to face as a result of the Welfare Reform and the cuts to the scheme we remain committed to promoting how, we'll the scheme can work if implemented correctly to help disabled people find and retain employment. putting them on a equal par with their non disabled peers.

PLEASE LIKE SHARE AND COMMENT AND HELP Y.O.U CONNECT WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN THESE COMPANIES SO THAT DISABILITY INCLUSION BECOMES EMBEDDED WITHIN THEIR TOYS AND PRODUCTS!!!

So lately, Y.O.U and I have been seeing a lot of posts from various different toy makers about how they are representing disability and inclusion in their toys and in turn making disability normal in children's play. Y.O.U are keen to be part of this inclusive narrative for children and AI have helped us create the dolls below.

We are keen to connect with companies such as Mattel, Inc. the LEGO Group Build-A-Bear Workshop and any other company who are keen to make their toys and products more disability inclusive. So help us spread the word and connect with the right people in these companies to make this happen.

Don't make inclusion a tokenistic gesture or something that is only represented medically within your toys and products. Let Y.O.U help make your representation real and not something that is only seen occasionally.
