SDS are very excited to be returning to the Badaguish Centre in Aviemore for the resumption of our annual Summer Residential Activity Camp. SDS are indebted once again to our partners at the Short Breaks Fund for their support with this project.
The camp is specifically aimed at youngsters aged 10-17 with a physical, visual or hearing impairment and will involve a variety of sports and outdoor physical activities over a three day/ two-night residential experience in the beautiful surrounds of the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands. This camp is an externally funded project that aims to support under-represented groups in our programmes - who are mainly in mainstream education - into sport and physical activity through inclusive practice and adaptable activity.
SDS is keen to access applications from all backgrounds and especially individuals who we may not have reached before. Therefore, SDS are particularly keen to ensure this is circulated amongst children and young people with a disability from areas in the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) β there are financially supported places available - and ethnically diverse communities.
Please apply through the link below. If you require support to complete the form or wish to apply using a different format please contact SDS on the details below. Closing date for the initial stage of applications Wednesday 1 June 2022
