This — and life in general — is why extreme dieting and excessive exercise don’t work.

In fact, sometimes they can be covering up other things going on in your life.

Exercise and nutrition can absolutely be positive coping mechanisms. But when they become extreme, obsessive or all-consuming, they’re no longer serving you in a healthy way.

Stop cutting out entire food groups.

Fruit and vegetables aren’t going to kill you.

You don’t need to earn your food.

Over-exercising can cause harm.

It’s OK to rest.

It’s OK to take time away from exercise.

It’s OK to drink the w**e.
It’s OK to have the b**r.
It’s OK to eat the bloody cake.

Health and fitness should add to your life, not become your entire life.

They should support your life — your family, your friendships, your work, your holidays, your experiences.

Because honestly?

Health and fitness should be a small part of your day, not your whole identity.

And if you can’t step away from it without guilt, anxiety or feeling like everything is falling apart, perhaps the issue isn't your lack of discipline.

Perhaps it’s time to look at what’s underneath it.

Homemade mayonnaise

I still can't quite get over how easy it is to make 🤯

Ingredients:
1 large egg
240ml low taste oil like rapeseed
1tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbs lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Method:
Put into a container then use the blend stick and blend.

It's literally that simple!

Our first potato harvest.

This was so exciting that I had to share.

I've really enjoyed learning about how to grow my own veg, fruit and herbs with my son.

He gets excited about seeing them grow and then is up for trying them 🙌🏼.

We've signed up to .gang monthly subscription.

They provide everything you need with clear instructions which I need!

It's made growing so much easier.

I thought I would share as we're having fun and it's a great way to teach little ones about where food comes from.
