A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Ketamine Awareness and Support Group last night 💛

Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation.

Addiction work teaches me that recovery isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being committed, being brave, having courage and continuing to try despite setbacks. And there will be setbacks. It’s part of the journey.

It is a privilege to witness people rediscover their strength, their self-worth, and their hope for the future.

It can be challenging! But the rewards make it worthwhile. Seeing people reach milestones they never thought they would make.

For every hard day, there are lots of amazing moments that remind me why I am so passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey ❤️‍🩹

The Therapeutic Relationship ✨

One of the most important factors in counselling isn’t the techniques, worksheets or particular coping strategies, it’s the therapeutic relationship.

I’m sure I won’t be the right therapist for everyone, and that’s OK. Finding the right counsellor is a bit like finding the right pair of shoes, it has to feel right.

You need to feel safe, understood, accepted, and able to be yourself without fear of judgement.

When that connection is there, something amazing happens. Trust begins to build. Walls come down. Scary and difficult conversations become possible. You can finally say something out loud. Healing can begin ❤️‍🩹

The relationship itself becomes part of the therapy. It offers a space where you can experience being heard, valued, challenged when needed, and supported through life’s struggles.

So if you’ve tried counselling before and it didn’t feel right, don’t give up. Sometimes it’s not that therapy doesn’t work, it’s that you haven’t found the right therapeutic relationship yet.

Healing happens in the therapeutic relationship 🤍

It is a non-judgemental space for anyone struggling with ketamine use, as well as for family members, partners, and loved ones who have been affected by someone else’s addiction.

Ketamine addiction doesn’t just impact the individual; it can affect relationships, families, physical health, mental wellbeing and daily life.

Whether you’re looking for support, understanding, shared experiences, or simply a place to offload, please come along 💛

Recovery is not a straight line, and supporting someone through addiction can be incredibly challenging.

We look forward to seeing you tonight.

As Rainbow Promise continues to grow and approaches 3 years this year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who has supported us, prayed for us, donated, volunteered, and believed in the vision. ❤️🌈

What started from a heart to help people recover and rebuild their lives has now grown into something far bigger than we could have imagined. Over the past 3 years, we have supported so many vulnerable men and women through addiction, homelessness, trauma, mental health struggles, and life-controlling issues.

As the ministry and organisation continues to grow, we are now in desperate need of a minibus to help transport our residents safely to:
• Recovery appointments
• Counselling sessions
• Church and community groups
• Outreach events
• Sponsored walks and activities
• Emergency support needs

So far, we have raised an amazing £2,000 towards our minibus and are now raising another £8,000 to reach our goal of £10,000! 🚐

We are also inviting local businesses, churches, and charities to sponsor a part of the minibus for £500, with logos proudly displayed on the BACK of the bus as it travels up and down the UK supporting communities.

There will also be:
✨ Sponsored walks
✨ Fundraising events
✨ A fundraising day at The ARK
✨ Community support activities
