ThermaVein is a cosmetic medical technology used to treat thread veins (spider veins/telangiectasia) and other small vascular blemishes. It uses a technique called thermocoagulation, where a very fine probe touches the skin and delivers a tiny, controlled burst of high-frequency energy to seal the affected vessel. Once sealed, the vein collapses and is gradually absorbed by the body.

How it works

1. A hair-thin sterile probe is placed on the skin over the visible vein.
2. Gentle pressure empties the vein of blood.
3. A brief pulse of energy seals the vein wall.
4. The treated vein often becomes less visible immediately, and the body then clears the sealed vessel over time.
