⚡️Pain can feel like a trap we can’t escape—a cycle of tension, fear, and exhaustion. ⭕️

🪷Healing from pain isn’t about toughness or powering through; it’s about tenderness and care. Pain Care Yoga creates space for that—space to move gently, breathe deeply, and rebuild strength from the inside out. Freedom begins with small, courageous choices to show up for ourselves. Let’s take that first step together.

🙏 For those on no to low income, please consider applying for The Maitrī Programme or attending one of my free community classes.

✨In a world that often pulls us into the noise, Yoga Nidrā is an invitation back to the heart of ourselves.🌙

💫Yoga Nidrā invites us into a world of liminal space, the space between wakefulness and sleep, where tension unravels, and the body whispers, ‘I remember how to rest.’

Persistent pain that can be felt as the shadow that clings, starts to soften in this gentle place. We aren’t fighting or fleeing; we’re listening, allowing the body to ease into its own rhythm, one breath, one heartbeat, one moment at a time. This is where resilience isn’t built by force but by yielding to what we are: whole, capable, and ready to mend. 🌔✨

💛 Your body absorbs everything your mind says, whether you notice it or not. Imagine that—every criticism, every casual judgement, every expectation quietly absorbed, as if the body has no choice but to listen. And still, you go on, mostly not realising the way those words sink in, shaping you, even without permission. Maybe it’s time to try something different, just as an experiment. Speak to yourself the way you’d speak to someone you love, someone you want to see thrive. Be gentle, even if it feels strange at first. Pause, take a breath. Notice the way your shoulders fall when you think, it’s okay, I’m trying my best. Let yourself soften, even in those quiet moments. Maybe that’s where change begins—quietly, kindly, with yourself.

Some things take time, like learning how to exist comfortably in your own body. Persistent pain is relentless; it shows up uninvited, day after day, and you begin to wonder if feeling good is even possible. But sometimes, change happens slowly, over weeks and months, so quietly that you don’t notice it until one day, you do.

Yoga isn’t a fix-all; it’s an offering, a way to settle in with yourself in small, manageable increments. A gentle movement here, a breath there. And then, maybe, you notice it’s a little easier to sit, to stretch, to breathe. And maybe that’s enough for today.

Some days will be harder. It’s not always about feeling better right away, but about showing up and seeing what happens. Healing isn’t linear; it isn’t always rewarding. But perhaps it’s in these quiet, unspectacular acts of care that something meaningful can emerge.

Maybe consistency isn’t flashy, but it’s honest. And if we keep showing up, who knows what we might find.

🧘‍♀️✨ Pain Care Yoga and Neuroplasticity ✨🧠

Our bodies and minds are constantly evolving, shaped by every experience. When persistent pain takes hold, it can feel like we’re stuck—but here’s the truth: just as our nervous system can learn pain, it can unlearn it. 🧠🌿

Through mindful movement, breath, and meditation, yoga helps us reconnect with our body and create the space for transformation, allowing the nervous system to recalibrate and soften the grip of pain. This isn’t about forcing change—it’s about trusting the process and knowing that our body-mind is designed for adaptability.

We are not our pain. We are resilient, ever-changing beings, supported by the science of neuroplasticity and the deeper strength and wisdom within each of us. 💫

🌿 How Slow, Mindful Yoga Can Transform Your Health & Well-being 🧘‍♀️

Slow, mindful yoga might not be the trendiest thing. It’s not handstands or back bends in the latest lululemon leggings. It’s soft, it’s gentle, it’s nurturing. And it works. Shown to help reduce anxiety, ease persistent pain, and even support long-term health conditions and ageing. Slow yoga isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about feeling better.

There’s something about moving slowly, about breathing with intention, that brings you back to yourself. It’s the opposite of what we’re told to do. In a world obsessed with hustle, we’re told that the more we do, the better we are. But maybe the real transformation happens when we stop pushing ourselves quite so hard and tune in.

Slow mindful yoga is about noticing your body, how it feels in each moment, without judgment. Restorative, therapeutic – whatever type you choose, slow yoga has this way of making space. Space in your mind, space in your body. It’s about reconnecting, slowing down, and showing yourself some compassion, the kind that may have been absent for a little while.

Why try THERAPEUTIC YOGA for chronic or persistent pain? 🤔

I get it. You’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I’ve heard from people that report not being believed when they talk about their persistent pain as their latest scan results show no tissue damage. Others say that their pain moves around the body, or that it flares up from time to time and it just doesn’t make any sense. Movement of any sort can feel challenging and ‘yoga’ is all about tying yourself in knots, right? 🥨

Well…

Firstly, I want you to know that whatever your experience may be of chronic or persistent pain, it is ALWAYS real, no matter what the causes of it might be. You certainly won’t have to waste any of your precious time and energy trying to convince me of this!

In a 1:1 session we explore your individual pain experience and how we can use the tools of yoga, such as mindful movements, breathwork, and meditation techniques, as well as simple pain education to help you turn down the volume on your persistent pain. We work together to support you in returning to a life of more movement and energy. It takes time and commitment, but it is absolutely doable! 😊🙏

You are also welcome to join one of my group classes specifically designed for people living with persistent pain.

Get in touch to find out more. 👍
