This is Harvey - who will be familiar to many within Oaklea...

He's been on work experience at Merewood Hotel in Windermere through our Right2Work Supported Internships programme.

You can also see him being "photo bombed" by our very own Kirstie Packham💓

Kirstie - as Harvs Job Coach says:

"The team at Merewood were very caring and helpful with Harvey showing him around the kitchen, introducing him to the staff team. They passed on knowledge of working in a kitchen and passion for food. Harvey demonstrated great food safety, food preparation techniques and communicated well with the staff."

A huge thank you to everyone involved to make this a great opportunity for Harvey whilst on the Supported Internship."

Liz Fish from our team In Morpeth, Northumberland tells us all about Gavin and his love of photography:

"Gavin has joined his local camera club, & has come so far from photographing headless ducks and blurred pictures of cars and castles to.. Wow!

His latest pictures from the Quayside in Newcastle are true testament to his perseverence and his new skills! Here are just a few of Gavins fantastic efforts. A true David Bailey!" (younger scrollers ask someone older😉)

Fabulous stuff Gavin - keep them coming (though maybe go easy on the ducks🦆😂)

County Durham's answer to David Attenborough & Springwatch combined - Nic Bainbridge keeps us afloat of events:

"Myself, Joe and Charlotte supported Andrew, Max, Pauline, Gemma, Laura and Amanda for a visit to Sea Houses in Northumberland. We then had a visit to the Farne Islands to see the seal colony and puffins. Everyone had a great time then called for fish and chips on the way home…"😋

Nic was unable to confirm whether they caught their own fish or left it to the Puffins...but one thing we can confirm - the day was truly given the "seal" of approval by all🦭💓
