💚🐴 MOVING ON… AND MOVING FORWARD 🐴💚
At TEAL, one of the greatest things we get to witness is a young person discovering just how capable they really are.
Many of our students join us after finding themselves out of education for a whole variety of reasons. Some may stay with us for a few terms, others for a couple of years while waiting for the right placement, and some will remain with us for the remainder of their education because TEAL is the setting in which they thrive.
And that’s the beauty of alternative education. 💚
There doesn’t have to be one pathway that works for everyone.
For some young people, TEAL is a stepping stone. They need somewhere different for a while — somewhere they can learn that education doesn’t always have to look like a traditional classroom.
A place where learning can happen in the Education Station, on the yard, beside a horse, out in the countryside or through practical, hands-on experiences.
A place where they can begin to realise…
🌱 I CAN learn.
🌱 I AM capable.
🌱 I CAN achieve.
🌱 I DO have a future.
Over time we see confidence grow, self-esteem rebuild, new skills develop and qualifications achieved. Most importantly, we see young people begin to believe in themselves again.
For some, that growing confidence means they become ready to re-enter a more mainstream educational setting.
For others, staying within alternative education for the remainder of their education is exactly the right pathway for them.
Neither journey is more successful than the other.
Success is finding the environment in which that individual young person can learn, grow, feel safe, achieve and look towards their future with confidence.
And right now, one of our students has reached the point where he is ready to move on to his next educational setting. 🥹💚
We are incredibly proud of the huge achievements he has made during his time at TEAL. Watching his confidence, abilities and belief in himself grow has been an absolute privilege.
Saying goodbye is always bittersweet, but seeing a young person leave us because they are ready for their next chapter is something to celebrate.
Go and show them what we already know you can do! 🌟
From all of us at TEAL — two-legged and four-legged — we wish you every success for your next adventure. We’ll be cheering you on! 🐴💚
Different pathways. Different journeys. Individual education. Brighter futures.
💚 Enjoy & Achieve 💚
