When I’m not massaging… I’m still working. 🙂

Between appointments, I clean the treatment room, sanitise surfaces, vacuum, prepare the massage table and do the laundry.

And this is exactly why the gaps between my clients are important to me.

I don’t want to see people one after another, production-line style. I want enough time to properly reset and prepare the space for the next person.

That’s also why I ask you not to arrive too early. If you are here before your appointment time, just send me a quick text first. 😊

Whenever I use fabric sheets, they are freshly laundered for each client. If a blanket, towel or any other textile has direct contact with the body, it goes into the wash after the appointment.

🗑️ Yes, disposable sheets are also an option, but they create a considerable amount of waste.

I’m not pretending to be perfectly eco-friendly, but I do pay attention to how much rubbish we produce and how much waste we leave behind on this planet. 🌍

So why am I so particular about all of this?

I’ve been to treatment rooms myself where the massage table looked beautiful — soft towels, cushions for the face, cosy blankets… everything arranged to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

But there is another side to it.

Do you remember during Covid, when we were told not to touch door handles, to disinfect surfaces and sometimes even use our own or disposable pens?

A door handle or a worktop can be wiped and disinfected.

Fabric absorbs.

Unfortunately, more than once I have finished a treatment somewhere and watched the towel my face had just been resting on simply being straightened and prepared for the next person. 😱

The same with towels or blankets used during the treatment.

And yet during a massage, your body can be in contact with these fabrics for 40, 60 or even 90 minutes.

The skin sweats, produces sebum, sheds dead skin cells — especially in summer after plenty of sunshine ☀️ — and can leave behind skincare products and natural secretions.

And sweat itself isn’t just water. 💦

It contains electrolytes such as sodium and chloride, as well as urea, lactate and other metabolic by-products. Certain medications, substances and their metabolites can also be present in sweat.

Sometimes a client falls asleep. 😴
Sometimes a nose runs. 🤧
Sometimes there may even be a little drool. 🤤

And you know what?

That’s completely normal. 😊

But this is exactly why, for me, hygiene is much more than simply wiping down the massage table.

Fabric that has been in contact with one client’s skin should not then be in contact with the next client.

Perhaps I’m particularly conscious of this because I spent years working in a hospital environment, where hygiene and infection-control routines simply became second nature to me.

That’s why after every appointment I need some time.

Time to clean.
Time for laundry.
Time to prepare fresh linen.
Time to reset the treatment room properly.

🌿 I’m also very conscious of the products I use on surfaces that may later come into contact with your skin. I use an alcohol-based solution with water and essential oils and keep the ingredients I use as simple as possible.

Because for me, your appointment begins before you even walk through the door. 🤍

What about you?

Have you ever paid attention to the towels, blankets and fabrics you’re lying on when you go for a massage? 🫣

Since I introduced BEM (Bioenergetic Meridian Massage), it has become really popular 🤗

But I’ve also noticed that quite a few people have a dilemma when choosing their massage.

On one hand, you want a traditional hands-on massage — to really feel the work on tight muscles, maybe some deeper pressure, even my elbows 😆💪, or sometimes simply the feeling of hands-on massage and relaxation.🐚

On the other hand, you also want BEM because you can feel how deeply it works and how different it feels compared with a traditional massage.

And I completely understand the dilemma 😊

So, for anyone who finds it difficult to choose, I’ve created a new MIX option 🤗

It’s a 60-minute treatment combining traditional massage — therapeutic, deeper tissue work or more relaxing techniques, depending on what you prefer — with BEM.

The balance between the two can be adjusted to suit what your body needs most during the session.

Hopefully this makes the choice a little easier 😄

You can find it on the website under:

BOOK NOW → THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE → MIX

From there, you know what to do 😉

If you have any questions, just message me.

Hi everyone 🌿

I’m Kamila, and I have over 20 years of experience working with the body, movement and massage.

Sore muscles? Waking up feeling tired? Frequent headaches? A back that always feels tight and uncomfortable?

Sometimes your body is simply telling you that it needs more care and attention.

A massage tailored to your needs may help release muscular tension, support deep relaxation and help you feel more comfortable in your body.

Don’t wait until your body forces you to slow down — it may be time to book some time for yourself.

Did you know that your massage may be partly or even fully reimbursed? 🌿

Yes, really — depending on your workplace health insurance or health cash plan, you may be able to claim back the cost of your treatment.

This is one of the reasons why I remain a registered member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and renew my professional membership and insurance each year.

It means that clients whose insurance provider recognises FHT members may be able to use their workplace benefits towards their massage treatments with me.

It is always worth checking the terms of your policy, as many people have these benefits through work without even realising it.

My freshly renewed certificate has just arrived 🌸✨

PS. It’s just a shame I don’t get this benefit through my own workplace… which happens to be mine 🤣

🌿 Bioenergetic Meridian Massage – BEM

BEM is a unique treatment combining meridian therapy, hands-on massage techniques and gentle microcurrent stimulation delivered through special conductive silver-thread gloves.

Unlike a traditional massage that mainly focuses on the muscles, BEM is designed to support:

• circulation
• fascia and muscle activation
• lymphatic flow
• nervous system regulation
• the body’s natural bioelectrical communication

Many clients are surprised that such a gentle treatment can create such a noticeable feeling of release throughout the body.

After a session, clients often say they feel:

✨ lighter
✨ looser
✨ deeply relaxed
✨ as though their body has been “reset”

During the treatment, some areas may tingle or respond more strongly than others. This can often happen in places where the body is holding more tension or stress.

You can think of it as working with points and meridians in a way similar to acupuncture — but without needles.

Therapeutic massage or relaxation massage? There is a real difference 😊

Recently, I saw a lady who had been experiencing significant pain for many months, possibly even years. She had visited several massage therapists before and came to me through a recommendation from someone who had responded very well to my treatments.

After a detailed consultation, I explained what I planned to work on and why. Her main concerns were her back and shoulders, but she also mentioned pain in her legs and asked me to include them. Of course, I agreed, but I explained that this would leave less time to work properly on the areas causing her the most trouble.

Towards the end of the session, she also requested a foot massage and asked me to pull her toes. 😊 Unfortunately, I could sense some disappointment afterwards because I had not spent time massaging her hands as well.

This is why I would like to explain something important:
Relaxation massage and therapeutic massage have different purposes.

During a relaxation massage, we can focus on comfort, rest and a pleasant full-body experience, including the hands, feet and toes. I am always happy to provide this type of treatment. 🌿

However, when you book because you are experiencing a specific problem or ongoing discomfort, I need enough time to focus on the main areas involved.

Dividing one hour between the back, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet and several additional requests means that the minutes disappear very quickly—and none of those areas receives enough focused attention.

Your feedback during the treatment is always important. Please tell me how the pressure feels, where you experience discomfort and how your body is responding. However, the choice of techniques, the order of treatment and the amount of time spent on each area should also be guided by the therapist you have chosen to help you.

It is a little like visiting a mechanic. I can explain what is wrong with the car and describe the noises it is making—but I would not insist that the mechanic use a different oil, preferably rose-scented because it smells nicer! 😂

One more important point: when discomfort has developed over many months or years, it is unrealistic to expect me to become a magician and make everything disappear during one appointment. The body often needs time, consistency and an appropriate treatment plan.

After all, when medication is prescribed, it is usually taken regularly—not just once with the expectation that everything will immediately be resolved.

So, before booking, please consider what you are looking for: relaxation or focused therapeutic work. Both are valuable, but they are not the same treatment.

Wishing you good health and sending hugs,
Kamila 🌸

Did you know that if you have a health plan through work, you may be able to claim money back for your massage? 👀

Many workplace health plans (Health Cash Plans) cover treatments with different specialists, including massage therapy.

At my practice, you can request an invoice for insurance purposes — I am a fully qualified and FHT registered massage therapist, and treatments are provided under a registered business.

If you’re not sure how it works or whether you’re eligible, feel free to message me — I’m here to help 💬

Best wishes
Kamila 🌸
