What’s your favourite thing to do in the sunshine? 🌞

One of the main topics of conversation this week has been the above-average temperatures!

Across our centres, we’ve been talking daily with our members about simple preventative steps we can all take to stay healthy and safe in the heat.

And we also asked our team and members, what they love to do in the sunshine! From BBQs and good books, to long walks...

Our Jonathan has a passion for washing cars, and we’re looking for a local business to help make that passion count 💙

He’s hardworking, enthusiastic and eager to learn, so if you know a business that would be interested in offering a supportive placement, we would love to hear from you.

Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for all our members, and we welcome partnerships with businesses who are keen to support our charity and make a positive impact.

We’d love to share just how rewarding it can be to work alongside our members 🫶

Football, dancing, and fun in the sun! 🌞 We’ve had a fantastic past few weeks:

1: Members from all three of our centres took part in an Every Player Counts session with ⚽️

2: We took a trip to Wellingborough Museum, where members had a look at the exhibitions before soaking up the sun playing some outside games.

3: We’ve been busy in the kitchen at our Corby centre, trying out some new recipes 😋

4: We celebrated International Dance Day with a dance party, practising the Cha Cha Slide!

5: We also enjoyed some pampering recently with hand massages and relaxing music.

6: Robson has been loving his DIY projects around our Kettering centre - great work, Robson!

7: Our journalism club in Corby have been really busy putting together stories for our upcoming e-news 📰

8: Kylan, one of our Kettering members, has been working on t-shirt designs as part of our My Enterprise programme.

9: We’ve had a group of members volunteers to help with a local allotment, which they’ve enjoyed.

10: And our Gardening Club in Corby has been preparing for the summer season by giving the garden furniture a refresh! They’ve started by sanding down a garden bench.

We hope you’ve had a brilliant May so far! 🙌

The Grow and Eat garden at our Kettering centre is taking shape 🌱

We were in need of soil and a member of our local community kindly offered a large quantity of soil produced from his allotment composting area.

This donation is not only helping us to develop our Grow and Eat garden, but it has also given our members valuable work experience and the opportunity to learn how a large allotment operates.

Our members have absolutely loved it 💙

We all wore it green for Mental Health Awareness Week! 💚

Staff, members and volunteers across our centres in Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough came together to mark last week’s Mental Health Awareness Week.

We picked out our favourite green clothing, and held sessions exploring mental health, what it means and actions we can take to support good mental health.

15/05/2026

This Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme is action - this is one of our actions:

We support people on a mental health recovery pathway through volunteering 💙

Volunteers play a vital role at Teamwork Trust, supporting sessions, lending a hand with activities, and helping with day-to-day tasks across our centres. Our board of trustees are volunteers too.

We're proud supporters of an MHNC (Mental Health Northants Collaborative) initiative to connect people on a recovery pathway with volunteering and employment opportunities.

And we've had some wonderful success stories, including volunteers who've gone on to join our own staff team.

Having recently recruited a new group of volunteers, we're now looking ahead to our summer intake.

If you'd like us to get in touch when applications reopen, please do send us a message 🙌

NN Clear Speakers turns one this month - and they're celebrating in style at our Kettering centre 🥳

The public speaking and communication club has grown from a small founding group to a thriving local community in just 12 months.

On Tuesday 19th May, they're marking their official charter status with an open evening - a chance to see a Toastmasters International meeting in action and celebrate with the people who made it happen.

Two of our own team, Helen and Judy, are members and we're proud to host the club every 1st and 3rd Tuesday evening of the month - and even prouder to see what it's become! 👏

If you're Northamptonshire-based and curious about public speaking, this is a great evening to come along.

The club welcomes visitors of all experience levels, whether they are complete beginners or more experienced speakers looking to refine their skills.

When: Tuesday 19th May, 6.45pm

Where: Teamwork Trust, Kettering, NN16 9XW

Our “Bee Aware – Climate & Community Mural” project in Wellingborough brought people together to co‑produce a vibrant bee‑themed mural celebrating nature and community.

Service users, local residents, and a professional artist worked side by side in creative workshops that boosted confidence, reduced isolation, and sparked real conversations about biodiversity and climate action.

Over 100 people took part, leaving behind a beautiful public artwork that continues to inspire pride and awareness.

A big thank you to Sarah Hodgkins from Charlotte Designs Mural Artist, The Contance Travis Fund administered by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation, and the Community Payback Team for helping to bring this project to life 💙

Thanks also to Greatwell Homes who have supported us in related growing and outdoor improvements.

Do you enjoy sewing and want to share your skills with others? 🧵💙

We’re looking for sewing volunteers to support our members in our Kettering and Corby centres.

Our sewing sessions are a great way for members to build confidence, learn new skills and take pride in creating something of their own - and with your support, these sessions can make an even bigger impact.

Whether you’re experienced or simply enjoy sewing as a hobby, your time could help create meaningful opportunities for the people we support.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you - do send us a message 🙌
