THE COSMETIC TATTOO EYEBROW PROCESS from consultation to second session. I haven't done a post of the stages for ages, so here's a recent example.

AIM: My client wanted fuller eyebrows with a lifted arch.

The consultation. Your opportunity to meet me, see the treatment room, find out about the treatment, and ask any questions you may have. We discuss the right eyebrow style and colour for you. I will also draw the new shape, so you can go home and think about it all.

Session One begins with finishing paperwork, including todays treatment plan. Then drawing the eyebrow shape. Once agreed, pigment is carefully implanted into the skin at the correct depth.

After four-eight weeks, you will return for your second session, which is to check and top-up the colour. Adjustments to shape or colour can be made if required.

Most of my work is cosmetic tattooing, with eyebrows being my most requested procedure. Would you have guessed? 😉 However I offer a few other treatments too. Here is before and after eyebrow shaping, an eyelash tint and a TLC deep moisturising facial.

Cosmetic tattoo eyeliner and lips were done previously and are healed.

Your colour boost appointment is timed to keep your eyebrows looking their best.

The appointment begins with a chat about how they have been since your last session. We discuss any requests you may have. You will then check your medical form and let me know of any changes. You'll sign the new treatment plan where I have made a note of anything relevant to today's session.

We go into the treatment area and I start with before photos, a quick re-measure and draw, and checking for any colour changes or fading areas. Then your colour boost can begin! It ends with after photos and checks. Then a quick chat about aftercare and you're finished! Payment is by bank transfer, card or cash.

The treatment time, including paperwork, takes around forty minutes to an hour. At the colour boost I'll let you know when I think your next one will be due, 12 months, 18 months or two years, sometimes even three years!

Here's a before, right after and healed multiple skin tag removal on sensitive skin. All of these annoying blemishes were removed from the neck in a single session and the skin has healed perfectly. I didn't remove the circled freckles, as these were flat and did not bother my client.

Tiny areas of removal are fine to do in the summer, with correct aftercare. Larger removal areas are better treated in the autumn and winter.

The treatment is painless, although there's a slight "pinching" sensation.

Sensitive skin can look alarming after treatment, with a raised bump reaction and erythema, however this isn't uncomfortable and settles within a few hours. A sensitive skin reaction doesn't effect healing.

Once skin is healed, I suggest it's worth trying to increase skin cell turnover by using Salicylic acid or Glycolic acid toner or trying Retinol. This may help keep new skin tags, DPNs and Seb Ks at bay. Extra sun protection is important, as UV damage is said to be a contributing factor to the growth of many skin blemishes.

It's also worth mentioning that people with high blood glucose levels seem to have more skin tags, so it's worth making sure you know your HbA1c level and keep an eye on it!

Hello June and goodbye to the May which felt like July, apart from the arctic air bit which felt like January! 😂 Good old British weather. Never stops keeping us guessing!
My garden has never looked better and the roses have been amazing this year. This is probably my last May in this garden which I created from a patch of grass and not much else. I'm sorry to leave this space, but looking forward to creating a new garden in Barton Seagrave. I'm ready!
In other news, I have a few spaces left in June. I have no moving date yet, so will keep on booking as usual and keep you updated when I have further news. Have a lovely June! 😘

After several years, my client returned for a reshape and refresh. I used hairstrokes to create a slightly fuller look.

It's entirely up to you when you return for your colour boosts. My reminders are just a suggestion of what I think. If you're happy with your eyebrows, then you can return when you choose to in the future.

My fees increase if more time has lapsed between appointments. This is because I need to book in for a longer appointment.

Here's a before, right after and healed multiple DPN removal on very sensitive skin. All of these annoying blemishes were removed from the face in a single session and the skin has healed perfectly.

There are some blemishes I won't remove such as the one circled, as it was not superficial. The DPN sit like tiny seborrheic keratosis on the skin, and cause a slightly dull and raised area with a different texture to the surrounding skin.

The treatment is painless, although there's a slight "pinching" sensation.

I've always thought that eyebrows have personality! They're expressive as well as framing our eyes. Perhaps this is why we miss them so much when they're gone.

Here, one eyebrow grows higher than the other. At the first session powder-brow, I lifted one side slightly, and lowered the other as much as I could without losing my client's individuality.

Symmetry is important, but even more so is eyebrow personality!

I love doing a set of pale lips, redefining shape and restoring lip colour!

Bring your favourite lip colour to your lip appointment as I can colour match this to your cosmetic tattoo colour. Healed lip colour depends on many variables, including how well your skin holds the colour and how the colour is implanted. The colour is built up in thin layers, over more than one session, until the desired effect is achieved.

More about Cosmetic tattoo lip procedures;
Lip-line only; this is especially good for those of us who have quite good lip colour, but the vermillion border has been lost or has become patchy. I usually try to match the lip-line to the lip colour, unless you want a defined lined lips makeup effect.

Lip blush with an "invisible" line; this is for anyone who wants the lips to be defined, but without the line at the vermillion border.

Lip-line and fill/lip blush (shown here); great for anyone who has very pale lip colour and who wants a slightly more defined vermillion border.
