Meningococcal B (MenB) is a serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and septicaemia. Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself.

If you’re:
✅ Aged 17–18 (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008), or
✅ Starting university or eligible residential further education this autumn and born on or after 21 July 2001,

you may be eligible for the free NHS MenB vaccine.

We’re pleased to offer the MenB vaccine for eligible young people to help protect against meningococcal group B disease—a rare but serious infection that can cause meningitis and septicaemia.

📅 Appointments open from Monday, 13 July.

You may be eligible if you are:
✔️ In Year 13 (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008)
✔️ Starting university for the first time in Autumn 2026 (born on or after 21 July 2001)
✔️ Living in university or further education halls of residence for the first time in Autumn 2026 (born on or after 21 July 2001)
