Meet Katie ✨

Katie graduated from the University of the Highlands and Islands in 2016 and joined the Rooted Dental team in 2025.

Katie enjoys working to her full scope of practice as a dental therapist. Her role includes hygiene appointments and periodontal management, taking X-rays, providing fillings and carrying out extractions of deciduous (baby) teeth. This means you may see your dentist for your routine check-up and then see Katie for other aspects of your treatment.

Katie has a particular passion for paediatric dentistry and loves helping children feel comfortable, confident and at ease at the dentist. She understands that visiting the dentist can sometimes feel daunting, so she takes the time to build trust and make appointments as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

Katie is passionate about creating positive dental experiences from an early age and helping children develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime. 🪥

Outside of work, Katie loves travelling, going to the gym and discovering new foodie spots.

We’re delighted to introduce our newest dental practice, Hurlford by Rooted Dental, located just 10 minutes from our original Rooted Dental practice in Kilmarnock.

The practice is currently undergoing a full renovation, transforming the space into a modern, welcoming dental practice equipped with the latest materials, technology and facilities.

Building on everything we’ve created at Rooted Dental, our new practice will share the same commitment to providing friendly, accessible and high-quality dental care to both NHS and private patients.

We’re incredibly excited for this next chapter for Rooted Dental and can’t wait to open the doors, welcome new and existing patients and show you the finished practice.

Sometimes the best results come from dissolving first 🍒

Dissolving migrated filler lets us restore the natural structure of the lips before placing fresh filler exactly where it belongs for a more balanced, natural result.
