5 of 13: Listening to the Tree Spirits

Deep within the forest stood a tree older than memory. A tired woman came to rest beneath its branches. She had spent years trying to become worthy, successful and spiritually evolved. Yet the harder she pushed, the more disconnected she felt. The face of a tree spirit slowly appeared within the ancient bark.

“You are trying to grow without roots,” he said gently. The woman placed her back against the trunk. Beneath her, she felt the vast network of roots holding the tree steady. “Your roots are your presence,” the spirit explained. “They are the meals that nourish you, the boundaries that protect you, the people who truly see you and the breath that returns you to your body.”

The woman had believed that spiritual growth meant rising above ordinary life. The tree showed her that the highest branches could only reach towards heaven because the deepest roots embraced Mother Earth.

She stayed beneath the tree until her breathing softened and her thoughts became quiet. When she finally stood, nothing had been solved all at once. Yet she felt supported by the ground beneath her. She understood that growth did not need to be dramatic to be sacred. Sometimes evolution looked like resting. Sometimes healing looked like slowing down. Sometimes the most spiritual thing she could do was remain fully present within her human life.

We do not need to leave our humanity behind to become more spiritual. We are here to bring our soul fully into our human experience.

5 of 7: Reiki as a Return to Balance

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that supports the whole person. I channel pure, divine source energy into the body and the energy field surrounding it. The energy flows wherever it is most needed, helping to clear energetic blockages and restore greater balance to the body, mind and soul.

You do not need to do anything during a Reiki session. You are simply invited to lie comfortably, close your eyes and receive. Some people feel warmth, tingling or gentle waves of energy moving through them. Some see colours, images or receive unexpected insights. Some experience an emotional or physical release. Others simply enter a deeply peaceful state and enjoy some much needed rest.

There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki. Your body and soul know exactly what to do with the energy. People often feel drawn to Reiki when they are anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, navigating illness or feeling disconnected from themselves. A session can provide a quiet space away from the demands and noise of everyday life. It can help you feel calmer, lighter, more centred and better able to cope with whatever is happening around you.

Reiki does not fix you because you are not broken. It gently supports you in reconnecting with yourself beneath the stress, expectations and conditioning. Sometimes healing begins when we finally stop doing and give ourselves permission to receive.

4 of 13: The Fae and the Art of Wonder

At the edge of an ancient woodland, a woman discovered a circle of tiny lights dancing above the moss. The fae appeared wherever moonlight touched the dew. They invited her to follow, but she hesitated. “I have responsibilities,” she said. “I no longer have time for wonder.” A fae with wings like lavender leaves rested upon her hand. “Wonder is not a distraction from life,” she whispered. “It is one of the ways your soul remembers how to breathe.”

The woman looked around. She noticed silver webs woven between the branches, mushrooms rising through fallen leaves and a single flower opening in the darkness.
The world had always been filled with magic. She had simply become present enough to notice it again.

The fae taught her to create without needing approval, to laugh without earning it and to treasure beauty without needing to possess it. Before dawn, they offered one final teaching. “Keep your heart open, but take your wisdom with you. Wonder and discernment are companions.” The woman returned home to the same responsibilities, but she was no longer the same.

She began leaving small spaces in every day for beauty, imagination and joy. She watched the changing colours of the sky. She listened to the songs of the birds. She allowed herself to play, dream and create simply because it made her soul happy. In those spaces, her spirit grew lighter.

Perhaps wonder is not something we outgrow. Perhaps it is something our soul patiently waits for us to remember.

4 of 7: Exploring the Source

Have you ever wondered why the same challenge keeps appearing in your life? Perhaps you repeatedly find yourself in similar relationships, experience the same emotional reactions or feel held back by a fear you cannot explain. Sometimes we understand a pattern with our conscious mind, yet still feel unable to release it.

Quantum Healing Hypnosis allows the conscious mind to become quiet so that deeper information can rise into awareness. During a session, your Higher Self may guide you towards an experience that helps you understand the source of a present challenge. This may appear as a past life, a parallel life, a childhood experience, a symbolic journey or another soul experience entirely.

What matters most is not the label we give the experience. What matters is the understanding, healing and freedom it can bring into your life now. You may discover where a limiting belief began. You may understand why a particular person entered your life. You may recognise the lesson within a painful experience.
You may finally see a repeating pattern from a higher perspective.

Understanding the source does not change what happened, but it can change the energy you continue to carry around it. When understanding replaces confusion, forgiveness and acceptance can become possible. When a lesson has been recognised, an old pattern no longer needs to keep repeating in the same way.

You are not entering the past to remain there. You are receiving what you need so that you can move forward with greater clarity, freedom and love.

3 of 13: The Dragon of Inner Courage

Within a mountain of amethyst lived a great violet dragon who guarded a crystal heart. Many believed the dragon protected the heart from the world, but this was not so. The dragon protected it from becoming closed by fear.

One day, a weary traveller entered the mountain. “I want to live from love,” she said, “but love makes me feel vulnerable.” The dragon lowered his ancient head. “An open heart does not mean an unprotected heart,” he replied. “True love has boundaries. True compassion includes wisdom. True courage knows when to remain and when to walk away.” The dragon placed the crystal heart within her hands. It was warm, radiant and stronger than stone. She realised that her sensitivity had never been a weakness. It was a sacred gift that required discernment, self respect and care.

When she left the mountain, the dragon did not follow her. He had awakened within her. From then on, whenever fear appeared, she did not attack it or run from it. She listened to what the dragon was trying to show her. She breathed deeply and chose her next step from a place of love rather than reaction.

Her strength became gentle. Her boundaries became loving. Her heart remained open, not because the world was always safe, but because she had finally learned to trust herself, honour her boundaries and remain lovingly by her own side. The dragon had taught her that courage is not the absence of fear.

It is the decision not to abandon ourselves when fear appears.

3 of 7: Quantum Healing and the Higher Self

All the answers we seek are not outside us. They are already held within the deeper wisdom of our soul. Quantum Healing Hypnosis uses a deeply relaxed state of consciousness to help the busy, analytical mind become quiet. This creates space for you to connect with your Higher Self and explore the knowledge, guidance and healing that already lie within you.

You are always safe and in control. I am simply your guide, holding a loving and non judgemental space while your own inner wisdom leads the experience. Every quantum journey is completely unique. You may be shown a past or parallel life, a symbolic experience, another aspect of your soul or something entirely unexpected. You may meet guides, loved ones or other beings who have something meaningful to share.

You may receive insight into your life purpose, relationships, health, repeating patterns or experiences that have never made sense to you. Sometimes the greatest healing comes from finally understanding why. Why a pattern keeps repeating. Why a relationship affected you so deeply. Why your soul chose a particular experience. Why you have always felt that there is something more.

Quantum healing can help you remember that you are so much more than your physical body. You are a sovereign soul carrying lifetimes of wisdom, love and understanding. Your Higher Self knows what you are ready to receive. Your role is to remain open, curious and willing to listen.

2 of 13: Mother Earth as Teacher

A seeker once asked Mother Earth, “How can I evolve when so much around me is changing?” Mother Earth answered through the forest. The trees released their leaves without believing they had failed. The river changed direction without losing its essence. Seeds rested beneath the darkness without fearing that the light had forgotten them. “Nothing in nature remains the same,” Mother Earth whispered. “Yet nothing is hurried into becoming.”

The seeker knelt and placed both hands upon the soil. Beneath her palms, she felt roots communicating, water moving and unseen life preparing to emerge. She understood that Mother Earth’s ascension was not a race towards some distant perfection. It was a continual movement into greater balance, awareness and connection.

Humanity was being invited to remember the same wisdom. To release what had completed its purpose. To rest when rest was needed. To grow without forcing. To receive without taking more than could be replenished. Mother Earth did not ask how quickly she was evolving. She asked how consciously and lovingly she was choosing to walk upon the Earth.

As the seeker made her way home, she felt the steady heartbeat of Mother Earth beneath her feet. She no longer asked, “How quickly am I awakening?” Instead, she asked, “How lovingly am I walking upon the Earth today?” And Mother Earth smiled beneath her feet.

Perhaps that is where our own ascension truly begins.

New search about the effects of Reiki on cancer related fatigue. This mirrors my own experience of working with people experiencing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. One session will make a difference but there are more profound changes with a course of 4 sessions. As such, I have a 4 for 3 reiki session offer at the moment.

New Paper Alert! Published in the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network by Jeremy McGuire et al., the randomized pilot study "Feasibility and Efficacy of Reiki Versus Massage for Cancer-Related Fatigue in Patients With Breast and Prostate Cancer Receiving Hormone Therapy" evaluated the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of Reiki compared with massage therapy for reducing cancer-related fatigue in 87 patients with breast cancer receiving aromatase inhibitors or prostate cancer receiving androgen deprivation therapy. Participants were assigned to two massage sessions, two Reiki sessions, or four Reiki sessions. All three interventions significantly reduced fatigue, with improvements sustained at the 10-week follow-up; however, Reiki produced larger within-group effect sizes than massage, particularly the four-session Reiki regimen, which showed the greatest reductions in overall fatigue, worst fatigue, and fatigue-related interference with daily life. Although differences between the treatment groups were not statistically significant, the findings suggested a possible dose-response effect, with greater benefits from four Reiki sessions. The authors concluded that both Reiki and massage are safe and feasible approaches for managing cancer-related fatigue, with Reiki showing particularly promising results that warrant confirmation in larger, adequately powered clinical trials.

Reconnecting with Spirit

Grief is proof of how deeply we have loved. When someone close to us dies, the separation can feel almost violent a crushing thing, this business of carrying on when we miss somebody so completely. And yet human beings have never simply accepted that death is the end of the story. Since the very beginning of time, we have found ways to keep our loved ones close. We hold to the wind. We leave gifts out in nature. We sit in prayer. We light candles. We call out loud into an empty room, half hoping, half knowing, that we are heard. We cook their favourite meal. We listen to the piece of music that brings them straight back to us. We hold a lock of hair, we smell an old jumper, we keep fragments of a life well lived, small precious anchors to who we have loved.

And then, as time passes, it’s often the smallest memories that rise to the surface and mean the most. How they laughed. How they cried. The particular way they walked into a room. How they danced, badly or beautifully. How they responded when they were angry, or when something was simply, gloriously fun. These memories are a blessing. They are ours to keep forever.

But what happens to all of that life? Science is edging closer, year on year, to an understanding that we are, at our core, energy and energy cannot become non-energy. It doesn’t disappear. So what happens to that same energy in the spiritual field?

I have had the privilege of seeing it, again and again, through mediumship. Loved ones come through describing themselves, offering guidance, walking beside the people they left behind with light and love. For so many people, that presence, even just a glimpse of it brings enormous comfort and confidence. Yes, they will see their loved one again one day. But here is a question I find myself asking more and more: is it possible to have a bigger relationship with them before that day comes?

Is there a bridge between the worlds?

I believe there is. I believe we can invoke that bridge in the dream state setting an intention, before sleep, to meet our loved one in that space between waking and dreaming, where we might walk with them again, talk with them, laugh with them, even dance with them once more. I believe we can invite them close enough that we feel, for a moment, as though we are embracing them.

There are wonderful courses and seminars now springing up around the world exploring the continuation of consciousness, and training sensitive people to become clearer channels for this truth. But not everyone wants or needs to become a professional medium. Most people simply want to find their own way back to Mum, or Dad, or the friend they miss so much it aches. So let’s talk about that. Let’s talk about how ordinary people, in ordinary daily life, might feel the loving embrace of those they’ve lost.

Here are ten ways in.

1. Speak their name and set the intention.
Say their name. Out loud, or quietly in your own mind. Ask them, simply and sincerely, to come close. Intention is the doorway and it costs nothing to open it.

2. Hold a photograph to your heart.
Choose a photo that means something and hold it close to your chest. Some people even sleep with it nearby. A photograph carries more than an image it carries an invitation. This works even with old photographs of people you never met yourself, but who you’ve come to love through family stories.

3. Meditate and walk with them in your mind.
Close your eyes. Picture a beautiful path through nature, and picture them walking it beside you. Come walk with me, my friend. Come hold my hand, so that I might know you are here. Let the visualisation be as real and as gentle as you can make it.

4. Hold what they held.
Clothing, jewellery, a well-worn tool, anything that carried their energy in life. This is a form of psychometry the idea that objects hold a trace of the people who loved them. Sit with the object. Let yourself feel whatever comes.

5. Light a candle in a darkened room.
A small flame is a wonderfully simple invitation. It says: you have permission to come close. Walk here among us. Let us feel you.

6. Create something in their name.
Draw them. Paint them. Write their name in the sand or arrange stones on a beach in their memory. The physical act of creating, using your hands, your body opens a door that words alone can’t always reach.

7. Give them permission to walk with you.
Not just in quiet moments of remembrance, but in daily life. Ask them to help guide your decisions, to nudge you gently toward the right choice, to be a quiet source of inspiration when you need one.

8. Cook the food they loved.
There is something deeply grounding about recreating a meal someone used to make, or used to love. Taste and smell are two of the most powerful triggers we have for memory and for connection.

9. Listen to their music.
A song that was theirs, or one that simply reminds you of them, can carry you back to a moment of pure love in seconds. Let yourself sit in that feeling rather than rushing past it.

10. Hold the knowingness of everlasting life.
Above everything else, let the simple belief that life continues be a source of positivity rather than sorrow. This knowingness that love and consciousness don’t end can become one of the most powerful, hopeful forces in your life.

None of this requires special gifts or years of training. It requires only love, intention, and a little patience. Grief doesn’t ask us to let go of our loved ones. It asks us to find new ways of holding them.

And when you do even in the quietest, smallest moment trust it. That flicker of their presence is real.

Even though I cannot see you,
I know you are with me still.
Even though you dwell elsewhere,
I believe — I feel — I will.
Look through my eyes,
Speak through my words,
Inspire me on my way,
Until we meet again, my love,
Until that blessed day.

2 of 7: Healing Is a Return to Wholeness

Healing does not always mean that every symptom disappears or that life returns to exactly how it was before. Sometimes healing is much quieter. It can be the moment you finally understand why something has affected you so deeply. It can be releasing an emotion you have carried for years. It can be learning to rest without guilt. It can be reconnecting with the parts of yourself that became hidden beneath pain, responsibility, fear or conditioning.

Healing can take place physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Each part of us is connected, so when one part receives loving attention, the whole being can benefit. Your healing journey is entirely your own. There is no correct speed at which you should heal. There is no spiritual standard you need to reach. There is no failure in needing help, changing direction or discovering that something different is required.

True healing does not ask you to reject who you are today. It asks you to meet yourself exactly where you are, with honesty, patience and love. You may choose medical care, holistic therapies, emotional support, spiritual practice or a combination of approaches. What matters is that the support feels right for you and helps you move towards greater wellbeing.

Healing is not about becoming worthy. You are already worthy. It is about remembering your wholeness beneath everything you have experienced and allowing yourself to receive the care you need.
