❇️Celtic & Pictish inspired torso concept ❇️
When I came to Hull more than 30 years ago I thought I was leaving behind a place that was rich in it's historical connection but I wasn't.
I soon learned that our people shared throughout the British isles and beyond a rich commodity, art. As well as importing from others creatively and culturally with diverseity.Whether pottery, textiles, leather, jewellery, iron/bronze works, and engravings.And dare I say it, adorned on skin with ancient techniques.
Hull and surrounding areas are absolutely rich in Celtic Iron Age History.
The Parisi, a people belonging to an iron age kingdom are known for their chariot burials amongst many other cultural significances. These are to some, your ancestors.
This art is for us all, to be shared with those that have a love of art, history, nature, and connection. Here's some work that I've created, inspired by more northern cultural groups (The Picts)but who knows .....maybe they shared with the Parisi 🙏🏼
