Skyla reporting in.... Soooo hot 🔥 today. Nuffin for it other than to spend most of the day wiv mum in the bedroom wiv the A/C on (it works best in there as the lounge has patio doors which mum leaves open for me 👍🏻).
Cooled down a little this evening, enough for me to be out on my decking watching cricket.
Hope it gets a little cooler before the weekend.

I started the day by taking myself off to my paddling pool for a little lie down and chill. Mum couldn't believe it, no water in it and I'm there, put water in, and I just use it as a huge drinking bowl 🤣.
Turned really hot this afternoon so it woz mum's bed and the A/C on. Bliss, well until I got bored and decided I wanted to be out on my decking.
Lot's of iced water and shade so happy girl.

🚨 Every year we try and kick off a campaign - as a tiny way of being able to show some appreciation for those boys and girls who put their uniform and kit on every day - despite the blistering heat - to keep us safe from harm. 🚨

A few observations if you CHOOSE to get involved:

1) We'd be VERY surprised if any PSD/DPS took issue with this. A drink isn't and shouldn't be regarded as a "gratuity" - and common sense should prevail. 🚱
2) If you offer, most cops will politely decline. It's not their fault. They're programmed that way. However, if you present them with a drink that you've bought for them, then they're far more likely to accept. 🥳
3) Please don't be offended if they do decline. Some will, some won't. 🤷🏻‍♂️
4) You should know that there's NOTHING nicer in a Bobby's working day - than someone unexpectedly taking a few seconds to say "thank you!" 🥰
5) Yes, it extends to bottles too. The hashtag just wasn't as catchy. 🍼
6) Yes, it extends to other emergency services - or in fact ANYONE you see, doing a job and stuck out in the sun all day. 🚑🚒
7) Yes, we know our Army slog it out in deserts all around the world. Unfortunately, most of us can't pop over there to . (It's not a p*ssing contest.) 😜 They should've joined the RAF and then they'd have air conditioning. 💂
8) Yes, those are bottles, but doesn't have the same ring.

Dear Cops,

Don't be daft. No-one is getting sacked if you're given a drink by a stranger on one of the hottest days of the year. It's basic welfare.

Mum had an appointment at the hoovetties hospital (boo boo leg) this morning so yet again I woz left home alone 😢. This is happening a bit too often, I will be reporting her to my Husky Rescue if it continues, it's sooooo cruel 😂.
I made sure she knew I wasn't impressed when she arrived home (although until I realised she woz back I woz relaxing on her bed, but don't let on 🤣).
Warm again but still lucky to have the cool breeze so bearable.
Decking time has been the order of the day, where I've been entertained by the featheries 🪿 and a cricket match.
Hope woo are managing to stay cool.

Hope all the dad's, whether to hoopups, furries or featheries, are having a pawsome day 💖.
Big shout out to my own dad. Lubs woo 💞.
Warm day but got my fan, iced water and my D.I.Y shade set up. Not too bad though, as mum hasn't resorted to the new A/C thing yet.
Interesting night last night, 🫚🥷's alarm went off a few times, last being about 01.00. We weren't happy, neither were our neighbours 😢.
Mum had no idea why, so left him unlocked for the rest of the night 😮.
Today Auntie Diane, my neighbour, said she saw a moth flying around in it last night 🦋. So all doors left open this morning, hoping it's flown off now 🐾🤞🏻.
Been a chill out Sunday for me. Watched the hoopups on their park run, snoozed in the shade and supervised mum whilst she did some weeding 🤣.
Chose to have an early tea, so off to watch the cricket match from my prime viewing location 🤣.

Headed off this morning to NEVILLE FEST dog show, about 45 mins from home, in the Peak District.
Lubberley show in a lubberley location.
Rosies 1st to 3rd. Thrilled wiv 1st in Trick and Rescue (2 different judges). Nice goody bags too.
I woz booked in for more classes but decided not to go into the ring for them. I may not have won more rosies, but I'd rather not chance that. At least that way, maybe another furbaby would get a rosie 💖.
Met up wiv Uncle Ian (he and his previous furbaby Sabre were fwiends of Kira 🌈) and his new rescue, the beautiful Scarlet 😍. She's a little shy but we gave each other space 🐾.
For a change mum bagged a bargain for me, 4 squeaky 🥎. Happy girl 😀.
Tonight mum found out sumfink new about me... I sing along to the ice-cream van chimes. Proper howling 🤣.
Nice sunny day but definitely not too warm at all. But mum packed plenty of iced water for me just in case so that woz lubberley.
Resting on my decking now.

Warm day, but lucky for me, nice breezes again. So all is good, especially as mum has put the fan on to make sure I'm nice and super cool.
I got a grubbing this morning but knew it wasn't a show day 🤔. Mum says when I woz running around the garden she could see Husky glitter in the sun, being sprinkled everywhere 🤣 and she didn't want 🫚🥷 full of it 😢.
And it would have been, as we drove home today wiv all the windows open. She says it woz still like driving in a snow globe...
