The Dermalux Flex MD is a flexible LED phototherapy device that shines specific wavelengths of light onto the skin. Unlike a laser, it doesn’t cut, peel, or deliberately damage the skin; the aim is to influence cellular activity using light.
It has different light modes with different purposes:
* Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and is cleared for mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne.
* Red light is used for skin rejuvenation and the treatment of facial wrinkles, generally by supporting processes associated with repair and collagen production.
* Near-infrared light penetrates more deeply and provides therapeutic heating; it can temporarily improve local circulation and help with minor muscle/joint pain, stiffness and muscle spasm. Red + near-infrared is also cleared for wrinkle treatment.
