THE MONTH OF JULY

July has been another busy month at Elm Tree Court, with lots of activities and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The month began by celebrating the 4th of July with a weekend of entertainment. Geoff entertained us with a great selection of country and western music and then Elvis made a special appearance, with residents singing along to some familiar favourites.

Magic Merlin joined us for an afternoon of fun and laughter. It was lovely to be joined by the children from Westside Day Nursery for the magic show, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the afternoon together.

We also completed our sponsored walk to raise funds for our HICA in Bloom entry. We'd like to thank everyone who supported us and helped make it such a success.

We also enjoyed an afternoon with our friends at Wilton Lodge, catching up and spending time together. Residents continued to enjoy our regular Hull Dance sessions and Read and Chat group, which remain a popular part of our weekly activities.

THE MONTH OF JUNE

June has been another busy and enjoyable month here at Elm Tree Court, with a range of outings, celebrations, and activities.

Our residents enjoyed a visit to the garden centre, explored the Moomins exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery, and had a lovely outing to the Community Café at the Streetlife Museum.

We also came together to celebrate the King's Birthday and enjoyed a trip into the city centre to take part in the Veterans Weekend celebrations.

Back at Elm Tree Court, we've been busy preparing our HICA in Bloom entry. Alongside plenty of gardening and planning, we also held a successful bake sale to help raise funds for the project. A big thank you to everyone who supported us.

THE MONTH OF MAY 🌷

May was a busy and enjoyable month at Elm Tree Court. Residents took part in community walks, enjoyed bus trips out, hosted a garden party, and had the exciting opportunity to meet players from Hull Kingston Rovers as they set off for Wembley. We also continued our popular art classes. It has been a wonderful month filled with activities, social events, and memorable experiences. HICA Group

THE MONTH OF APRIL

During the month of April we celebrated Easter, enjoyed walks in the local community, days out to Hornsea and Sailmakers. We have started the garden for this year's HICA In Bloom competition and said farewell to Tracy who is moving on to new ventures after working at Elm Tree Court for 18 years, we wish her all the best HICA Group

THE MONTH OF MARCH

We began a 6 week watercolour painting course with Artist Debbie, enjoying the chance to try something new, and also visited Hull Minster to see the Spitfire 90th anniversary display. We celebrated Mother’s Day and kept active with our movement to music sessions at Elm Tree Court and at the Flourish Centre Hull Dance. Our regular Read and Chat sessions with Hull Libraries continued to bring everyone together, and we ended the month by enjoying a Easter-themed community café at the Streetlife Museum. Group
