WHAT A BANGING WAY TO OPEN THE FREEDOM FESTIVAL!
What a fantastic, joyful and truly awesome time we all had taking part in the Quingo Starlequinn Parade at Freedom Festival!
We followed the feel-good dance party through the streets of Hull City Centre, dancing, singing, laughing and making new friends along the way!
QUINGO! An enormous giant puppet who had a DJ booth built right inside his drums! As the parade made its way through the city, the uplifting house music kept everyone moving and created the most incredible, energetic atmosphere.
This spectacular parade was created in collaboration with local disability groups, making it a brilliant celebration of creativity, music, inclusion, friendship and community.
We danced together.
We sang together.
We connected with people we may never otherwise have met.
And most importantly… WE HAD FUN!
A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who took part and helped make this such a special and significant moment in history.
And a massive thank you to our diamond Katie Atkins, Engagement Producer at Freedom Festival Arts Trust, and to everyone behind the scenes who helped bring this spectacular experience to life.
What an incredible way to celebrate our friends, colleagues, and community and what a wonderful way to make new friends along the way!
We’re already looking forward to the next adventure together…
