💪🏼 Does resistance training help with this pose? Yes & with arm balances in general.
🧘🏼‍♀️ Does Yoga help with strength training? Absolutely, mobility & strength work together for the best results.
🚴🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️ Does yoga aid runners, swimmers & cyclists? Oh yes it really does… but conversely swimming, running & cycling help us in yoga so we don’t overstretch our joints.
🌱 Health & wellbeing is multifaceted: strength + mobility + heart health + mental health + community.
✨I am super excited to be building a new studio offering (behind the scenes) that aims to touch on all of the above so you can add a little of each & do a lot of what you ❤️

It’s quite hard to tell what our 🐈‍⬛ Smokey got from my Sound Bath, but he quite liked it I think? He seemed calm and relaxed & he didn’t seem at all agitated by the louder sounds. In fact he was intrigued by the more intense sound of the e crystal bowls. Then he wandered off - very cat like!❤️
It’s easier to note the response of humans, as you can see afterwards they have been totally immersed in the experience. They report that the soothing sounds & vibrations from the singing bowls, gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, drums, percussion etc, promote relaxation, meditation, and well-being. The bring as sense of letting go, of processing our experiences of bringing us home to ourselves.

What a weekend, Nick & I painted the new cupboards, the ceiling, the walls in 33 degree heat. So nice to see them in use & working well tonight…

Next up, the reception area & the upstairs… That will start soon, for now my arm needs a rest.

Our last practice in Andalucia! This week had been a gorgeous week of daily vitamin D, delicious food, yoga practice, sound baths, meditations & yoga Nidra. We have walked, talked and laughed so much! We’ve had cacao, the new Ta**us moon, a day trip to Cordoba & more. It’s been space to pause, to grow, to reflect, to relax, we will take this feeling back to our lives & hold on to it!

I’ve got to admit the business side of setting up the new studio is daunting, lots of decisions, research, business plans & investment. This week I decided, committed & started moving forward. Yoga practice is absolutely my go to de-stress after work, this was on my day off from teaching; I needed to move, flow and explore a new route into an arm balance! The beautiful evening light in the studio was making me eternally grateful that we built this space found by my husband.
Behind the scenes I’m creating a space to help our community get stronger, mobilise & build resilience, through yoga, strength Pilates, barre, qigong, reiki, sound healing, reflexology, massage and more.

I’ve loved hearing some of the elements that you’d like to explore, do tell me the classes & therapy’s you need here!

A Half Day Retreat just for you!
