Don’t get me wrong
I love the “woo woo”, but there does seem to be a (much needed in my opinion) shift happening in wellness spaces where people are finally realising that trying to optimise every second of your day is actually not always the answer to a regulated nervous system.
If you feel better after a cold water bath in the morning, great.
If sitting with cacao each day brings you some peace and feels magical, great.
If a grounding sheet helps you sleep better, great. (I’ve got one!)
But - if you’re trying to do ALL the things we’re being sold (yes, sold), red light therapy, vibration plates, supplements, diet plans, wearable sleep/stress trackers, continuous glucose monitors, mouth tape, PEMF mats, courses, memberships, saunas, cold plunge… I could seriously go on for a while here…
I can bet most of you could spend a shed load of money and still be left feeling like you’re failing because it hasn’t magically changed your life or fixed your problems
Try stuff, sure. See what works for you. But for the love of god please remember you are a wonderful human being who is doing the best with what they have.
You don’t NEED to be constantly improving. Striving for perfection and enlightenment whilst the wellness industry continuously pushing new things you’re NOT doing down your throat will only leave you leave you feeling like you’re not good enough
You are.
