Homeopathy & Fistulas –
I have had many recent enquiries regarding help around persistent fistulas, so i thought it may be helpful to put some information out there on how homeopathy can help.
~ A fistula can be painful, persistent, and have a significant impact on everyday life. While medical assessment is essential—and many fistulas require medical or surgical treatment—some people choose to explore homeopathy as a complementary approach to support their overall well-being.
In homeopathy, remedies are selected based on the individual's symptom picture rather than the diagnosis alone. Remedies we may consider include:
🌿 Silicea – Traditionally considered for long-standing conditions with slow healing and persistent discharge.
🌿 Hepar sulphuris calcareum – Traditionally considered when there is marked tenderness, sensitivity, and symptoms suggestive of inflammation.
🌿 Calcarea sulphurica – Traditionally considered where thick yellow discharge persists and healing seems delayed.
🌿 Myristica sebifera – Traditionally used by homeopaths for abscesses and suppuration.
🌿 Sulphur – Traditionally considered for recurrent inflammatory skin conditions with burning or itching.
🌿 Mercurius solubilis – Traditionally considered where there is offensive discharge, swelling, and symptoms that worsen at night.
🌿 Calcarea carbonica – Traditionally considered for those with a tendency toward recurrent infections and slow healing.
🌿 Nitric acid – Traditionally considered for sharp, splinter-like pains, fissures, or bleeding around the a**l area.
Homeopathy is always tailored to the individual, so the "best" remedy depends on your complete symptom picture, health history, and constitution—not simply the diagnosis.
If you're living with a fistula and would like to explore whether homeopathy could complement your overall care, I'd be happy to discuss your individual case.
