Anyone else gone from summer to… THIS?! ☀️➡️☔️🍂

September appears to have arrived with absolutely no subtlety whatsoever. 😂

Cold. Windy. Damp. Hood up. Messy hair. No makeup. And generally feeling a little bit meh.

And apparently, I’m not the only thing feeling it…

Watch until the end to see what I’ve decided might be next on my own treatment list. 👀

The change from summer into autumn is actually one of my favourite times to turn the focus back towards skin health.

After a summer of holidays, BBQs, weddings, days outdoors, sunshine and probably a few disrupted skincare routines, you might be noticing your skin looking a little different too.

☕️ A quiet Saturday morning coffee while the kids are still sleeping… and a little moment to reflect.

Today marks 11 years married to my husband (many more together) and although life certainly hasn’t always been smooth sailing, I feel incredibly lucky that we still have that chemistry we had right at the beginning… if anything, it’s grown stronger. ❤️

There have been tears, illnesses, surgeries, babies, house moves and plenty of hurdles along the way… including what may or may not have been someone’s midlife crisis baby — we’re still not entirely sure whose midlife crisis that was! 😂 With kids aged 20, 13 and 2, there is certainly never a dull moment in our family!

But there have also been holidays, drinks, music, ridiculous silliness and proper belly laughs where the tears are streaming down our faces. Family days out, nights away, late nights and so many memories made together. Because amongst all the serious moments and challenges life brings, we’ve never lost the ability to have fun together.

Through it all, he has been my biggest supporter. He has stood by me while I’ve poured so much of myself into building DH Medical Aesthetics, supporting my ambitions and believing in me, even when the journey has been challenging.

I think that’s what I’m reflecting on this morning… life will always throw things at you, and relationships take work, but having someone beside you to share it all with makes the difficult times easier and the good times even better.

Together just feels like home.

There is still so much for us to see, do and experience, and honestly, there is nobody else I’d rather do it all with. ❤️

11 years married, 16 years together… and hopefully many, many more memories, adventures and belly laughs still to come. ❤️☕️🥂🎶✈️

There’s a little more behind the scenes at DH Medical Aesthetics than you might realise… 🤍

Confidentiality, privacy and the security of your health records are a huge priority for me.

That’s why I’ve always invested in Aesthetic Nurse Software (ANS) and recently upgraded— a dedicated system designed specifically for aesthetic healthcare professionals. It means your appointments, consultation forms, treatment records, medical information and ongoing notes can all be securely managed in one place, creating one complete personal healthcare record.

And that wording is important…

When you come to see me, you’re not simply visiting a beauty clinic. You’re accessing a private healthcare service, and your treatment is documented as a healthcare record.

I’m a Registered Nurse Prescriber, I’ve been a registered nurse since 2005, and DH Medical Aesthetics is a Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) regulated independent healthcare service.

So yes, I still very much am a nurse. 👩🏼‍⚕️
A practising one, at that. 😉

I know aesthetics can sometimes be perceived as purely cosmetic, but my approach has always been medical, clinical and patient-centred. The treatments may be aesthetic, but the responsibility that comes with providing them is very much healthcare.

Investing in systems like ANS is just another part of making sure that the care I provide is safe, professional, confidential and properly documented — because your information and your care deserve to be treated with the same importance as any other healthcare record.

It’s all part of the bigger picture of running a regulated, nurse-led clinic. 🤍

Keep signing and sharing people! Let’s put a stop to these monstrous AI Data centres before they have a lasting detrimental impact on our beautiful Scotland for ever!

Once it’s done , there’s no going back !

For reference , I recently attended an “information event”

The first display said “our data centres are being modelled on the most efficient data centres running in the uk”

I asked the developer himself , if he could tell me what data centres they were so I could conduct my own research and hopefully find some reassuring information …… He was unable to answer me but assured me he’d email me my answer !!!!

Of course I am yet to hear anymore ….

What picture does that portray?….

These date centres are not efficient:

They are noise and light polluting monstrous centres that are taking away our beautiful countryside, destroying habitats and ecosystems.

They’ll use more energy than Scotland has in surplus supply.

They’ll run on backup generators that they were unable to answer what they would run on, how frequent the testing would be, what times of days the testing would be and even if the noise would comply with regulations …

So many questions that they should be able to answer but weren’t !
