It was a great pleasure to host the Safer Communities Fife team yesterday at our Kirkcaldy shop.

The visit focused on a two-hour practical training session covering the safe use and operation of mobility scooters, helping prepare the team for an exciting new project they’re currently working on.

Fife Shopmobility were delighted to support and be involved in this valuable initiative.

✨ A New Chapter for Fife Shopmobility in Kirkcaldy! ✨

It was a real pleasure to welcome Roz McCall MSP, Councillor Judy Hamilton, Councillor Alastair Cameron, and our wonderful staff, trustees, and volunteers—past and present—to the official opening of our new Mercat shop in Kirkcaldy.

This new space brings us closer to the shops, services, and the people who make this community so special. It’s brighter, more visible, and more connected—and we hope, even more welcoming. 💙
This move is more than a change of address—it’s a renewal of purpose: ensuring that everyone, regardless of mobility challenges, can enjoy freedom, confidence, and independence in everyday life.
As we settle into our new home, we look forward to continuing that work—offering the same trusted service, the same friendly faces, and the same unwavering commitment to helping people move freely and live fully.

Thank you to our partners, users, volunteers, and supporters—you are the heart of Fife Shopmobility. 💙

🚨 Kirkcaldy Update! We have Moved! 🚨

Fife Shopmobility is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in our journey! 🎉

📅 From today, 1st July, we are now open for business at our new shop in the Mercat Centre, Kirkcaldy!

Since 2009, our Thistle Street location has been a trusted base for our service—offering convenience and accessibility to so many. However, with the long-anticipated demolition of the Esplanade and Thistle Street car parks set to begin later this year, it’s time for a new beginning.

💙 Our new home in the Mercat Centre puts us right back at the heart of Kirkcaldy’s town centre—closer to shops, services, and the community we serve. This central move means greater visibility, improved access, and stronger connections across the town centre.
But this isn’t just a new address. It’s a reaffirmation of our mission to promote independence, accessibility, and inclusion for everyone.

🛠️ As we add the finishing touches to our new space, the Fife Shopmobility team is excited to welcome both familiar faces and new users alike.

👉 Come by and visit us—see how we continue to make a difference in the lives of many across Fife.
