Watching a cooking program with healthy breakfasts.... Well here is my favourite ( definitely not healthy) Scottish square sausage, black pudding on a well fired ( burnt) roll and brown sauce. Add a tattie scone and haggis and I'm in food heaven.

Sharing this again as I was reading a story about the night hag. A terrifying experience, at least it was for me.
I have only experienced this once in someone elses house, I never stayed there or went into their house again. In fact I left the house in the middle of the night.
I was woken up to a black shadow figure on top of me, tearing at the covers to get them off me, and I couldn't move, then I fought like hell. I knew it wasn't a person, it to me was some kind of supernatural occurence.
This was about 30 years ago, and I still believe it was likely some thing sinister in that house. I have been told it was likely sleep paralysis, however I don't think this was that.

Yesterday it was shared that the legendary Major Oak in Sherwood Forest has officially died after more than 1,000 years. it really makes you stop and think about the natural cycle of life. For centuries, this beautiful giant has been a peaceful sanctuary for humans and woodland creatures alike. While it's sad that its living phase is over, I'm so pleased it is being left standing to decay naturally and not be cut down and removed. It’s going to remain a vital habitat for the forest wildlife for years and years to come, which feels like the perfect legacy. Just think of all the animals, weather and people that have touched this wise giant of the forest. So much beauty and history it has gifted to the world. 🌲🌿

It’s beautiful how much a simple, friendly hello can light up a heart. Living in a village, I love how people here always acknowledge you and chat, even if you’ve never met. It just instantly makes you feel part of the community. I truly believe that the good energy you put out there always finds its way back to you. You definitely get way more joy from sharing it than keeping it to yourself. By remembering them with heartfelt prayers, offerings and ancestral rituals, we strengthen that connection across the generations. Past, present, and future generations are always connected. Our ancestors aren't only our bloodline; they also left us their experience, protection, and love. We are never really alone when we understand all that is around us.
