At our care home, we understand how important it is to maintain family traditions that have shaped our resident’s lives. Events such as Royal Ascot provide wonderful opportunities to reminisce, share stores with family members. Today one of our residents was joined by one of her daughters to keep up tradition by watching Royal Ascot, and they even shared a few gin and tonics whilst they watched. We are delighted to see our families helping their loved ones continue the traditions that mean so much to them, and that they feel so at home with their loved ones.

Yesterday we kicked off care home open week with football bingo in the morning and celebrated National beer day in the games room in the afternoon!! ⚽🫶

Today we have been visited by some of the players from the Kellingley Welfare ladies team, one of the players is our very own Cody.
The ladies came in their kits, showed off their trophies & medals, we had a little game of football, danced and had a sing along. Of course we had to sing ‘it’s coming home’

Our residents loved taking part in horse racing this afternoon were they had money, placed their bets and ran the horse!! 🐴🐎💵💷🤑
