That’s the drop in optimism we found between Year 1–2 and Year 3+ medical students.

And as responsibility grows, challenges around confidence and preparedness continue:
→ 61% of Foundation Doctors we surveyed don’t feel prepared for the realities of the role.
→ 62% of senior doctors reported not feeling confident in theirs.

From medical school to senior roles, our findings reveal where confidence is being lost along the way.

Last week, the Pastest team joined anaesthetic trainees from across the North West Deanery for a brilliant day dedicated to wellbeing, connection and managing the pressures of training.
 
From expert talks on avoiding burnout and a Q&A with anaesthetic trainees and consultants to yoga, mindfulness and team-building activities, the day offered practical support for balancing the demands of anaesthesia, FRCA exams and life outside medicine.
 
We were delighted to be part of such an important event and to share how Pastest can help make FRCA revision feel more manageable.
