We are live! 🥳🔥🧡

We are now taking bookings for our soft launch at Halton Millfest (LA2 6ND) on 12th Sep. 45 minute sessions will run throughout the festival for ticket- holders from 12-8pm.

Come reset and enjoy a shared wood-fired sauna experience next to the River Lune!

Tickets for your session cost £10. You can book in advance at our website (see bio!). Don't forget to bring your swimwear, 2 towels and a water bottle! If there's spaces left on the day you can also book on the QR code on the side of the trailer 😊

For those who know zero about wild saunas come have a chat. We will be moving onto a semi permanent location after Millfest and we are very happy to tell you all about it and the relaxing experience you will enjoy!

Five months ago we started to reach out to sauna owners. We visited lots of wild saunas. We messaged wild sauna owners (or saunapreneurs as they are sometimes known as!!) and asked MANY questions.

Every single person we've spoken to has given us time, advice and encouragement. We are all building something really important together - a belief that nature, connection, heat and cold can heal us.

Competition? Maybe - or all of us together building a movement that will help improve lives. More wild saunas means more growth for the whole community of sauna bathers.

A huge thanks for all the saunapreneurs that have helped us.

This weekend Zoe at was the perfect host. She has a beautiful set up over near Skipton - both her saunas are well worth a visit. Even the hour long journey from Lancaster was well worth it.

Yes we know they look silly but they really do work!

Do you sometimes feel dizzy in the sauna? Wearing a hat helps protect your head and hair, and can stop you feel like you're spinning out!

We've had these beautiful 100% wool felt hats made with our logo. It's all very exciting seeing the finishing touches come together.

We will provide shared hats and also have them available to buy, so you can keep your very own hat for all your sauna sessions. Just £15 from your sauna host when you visit us!

Don't forget we are open to purchase sessions from 1st Sep at the soft launch on 12th Sep at Millfest Halton Mill 🔥

Meet Sauna Mökki! Only five months ago this was an old trailer. After plenty of scrapes, laughter and tears we are (almost) there!

This weekend we've enjoyed Sauna Mökki on our driveway! Soon she will be moving firstly to Halton Mill, Millfest and then onto a beautiful site with incredible views of the Lancaster countryside.

We're still working on the finishing touches and painting the exterior. Plus at the main site we are making a cold plunge for the full benefit of contrast therapy.

The steam and heat did not disappoint. What a magical feeling 🔥💦 we can't wait to show her off to the Lancaster public very soon!!

It's happening! 🥳

A new outdoor wild sauna experience is coming to Lancaster this Autumn!

Be the first to experience our Wood-Fired sauna at Millfest on Saturday September 12th at Halton Mill 🔥

This is our SOFT LAUNCH. After Millfest we will be moving onto a semi-permanent site (soon to be announced!)

We are offering a special introductory price of £10 for a 45 mins slot at Millfest. You can book your sauna session on our website (link in bio) from September 1st. You can join the waitlist now on our website too to receive a reminder closer to the time.

Sessions will be relaxed and shared (with a max of 7 bathers per session) giving you the chance to enjoy the heat and experience something a little different at the Mill 🎉

There will be changing facilities and cold water to make the most of your sauna experience.

We can't wait to welcome you aboard!

Is it a sign that we've become obsessed!?

Obsessed with creating something out of nothing.

We've been building the sauna now since Spring and we can't help seeing every ruin, old trailer, huts etc as future outdoor saunas!

'Just imagine what we could do with that?!' 🏚️🛖⛺

It's starting to take shape now! Lots of finishing to do but our old trailer is looking more and more like a beautiful wild sauna every day!

The window going in really shows how it will look on our site (news to follow soon!)

We've been pulling in help from so many friends along the way and we are truly grateful. A team effort all round.

Sammy has done such a grand job sanding the trailer and printing it ready for our deep amber paint. And Stu is more than in need of a day off. But the end is in site!!

Not long now! Autumn and winter in Lancaster now looks exciting 🌶️🧊

It's a ceremonial moment in the back garden this week! The stove has been lit for the first time 🔥

Before fitting inside it's important to light the stove outside and burn off any protective oils. The stove will then be ready to be fit inside our sauna. We still have the chimney, stones and cage to fit but this 'burn off' step feels like a special one.

We've gone for the Harvia Green Flame which is engineered to be fully compliant with eco design standards which mandate low emissions. It re burns exhaust gases resulting in 70 % lower carbon emissions. The stove is highly efficient and will produce minimal smoke leaving virtually no footprint on air quality.

We've also over insulated (and over engineered!) the trailer so it will retain heat exceptionally well.

Having a geeky engineer on our team is a huge bonus for our project! 😎🤓

Build update! 🔥

The last couple weeks we've really cracked on.

The reception area is a lot bigger in the flesh! There will be plenty of room to leave your coats and towels.

The timber is finally here. We've gone for Thermo Aspen wood as it's hard wearing and has a gorgeous colour.

Next stage, we will be adding all the special sauna insulation ready for timber cladding! Then we are working up the courage to cut out the window.

Still a long way to do but we've made real progress and we can start to see how our Sauna Mokki trailer sauna will look!
