10 whole years of Aesthetics of Sussex. What a journey it’s been! Thank you SO much to every single person who has been a part of it and helped make AOS what it is today. Girl to girl… get the Botox before you actually need the Botox. 💉✨

But what does that really mean?

Botox works by temporarily reducing the signals between the nerves and the muscles responsible for facial movement. When those muscles contract less strongly, the skin over them isn’t repeatedly folding in the same places — helping to soften existing expression lines and slow the development of deeper, more established lines.

Think of it as preventative maintenance, not changing your face. 🤍

Starting before lines become deeply etched doesn’t mean having a frozen forehead or looking “done”. With considered placement and appropriate dosing, the aim is to reduce excessive movement while keeping natural expression.

A YEAR OF CONSISTENCY ✨

No filler. No jawline filler. Just consistent Masseter Botox over 12 months — and look at the difference in her lower face.

The masseters are the strong chewing muscles that sit towards the back of the jaw. When these muscles are particularly strong or enlarged, they can create a wider, squarer appearance through the lower third of the face.

Masseter Botox temporarily reduces the activity of these muscles. With consistent treatment, the muscle can gradually reduce in bulk, creating a softer, slimmer and more tapered lower face. Research shows this reduction develops gradually and can be most noticeable around 3 months following treatment.

In her before and after, you can really see the difference through the width and heaviness around the jaw angles. Her lower face now appears noticeably narrower and more contoured, giving her overall face a softer shape — without adding volume anywhere.

Masseter treatment can also help some patients who suffer from excessive jaw clenching or grinding, although suitability and results vary from person to person.

Sometimes the best facial contouring isn’t about adding filler — it’s knowing when to reduce muscle instead. 🤍
