As we feel the lingering effects of last week’s full pink moon, here is a painting I finished yesterday, started this Imbolc and inspired by the full snow moon at the time.

Around the edges of the canvas are the words full moon in traditional script and language of our indigenous countries of the UK:

• lleuad lawn (Welsh)
• full mune (Scots)
• gealach lan (Irish Gaelic)
• full moon (English)

Often we can forget about our own indigenous identity and culture and lean into others, as they can be equally interesting and meaningful. This work is an attempt to bring the draw back to the tradition and ritual of the isles and land that we inhabit and work with, whilst offering gratitude to Grandmother moon 🌕

This is my first painting in years and I hope to continue creating more art…

Let’s celebrate Friday the 13th and relinquish the fear that has surrounded this date for too long! 💜🌕

Today is Friday 13th.

For years, people have been telling us it's unlucky, but BP (before patriarchy)
Friday the 13th was the day of the Goddess.

It was considered a day to worship the Divine
Feminine - your innate SHE Power -and to honour the cycles of creation and death and rebirth.

It was considered a day to manifest, honour creativity and to celebrate beauty, wisdom and nourishment.

The number 13 holds an extremely potent feminine energy and is considered to be the number of death and rebirth, creation, fertility and blood.

This is because we have 13 moon cycles a year and the average female also experiences 13 periods per year.

Women, let's claim it back. ALL OF IT.
Starting today.

Make today the day you do something that nourishes and honours the feminine.

Tomorrow is Imbolc. The mid point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Seeds are stirring in the belly of Mother Earth, ready to bring forth new growth, as the light increases and the returning sun starts to warm the ground 🌱
Tomorrow evening we also have the Full Snow Moon, with new beginnings on the horizon and a push to start making things happen that you have been dreaming of…🌕✨

We had a lovely penultimate session today of the Munay Ki Rites, covering the Lineage Rites: The Daykeeper, Wisdomkeeper and Earthkeeper rites.

It invites a gentler, more nature‑aligned understanding of beginnings, one that starts in the roots before it ever reaches the bloom.
