A Life in Balance

A Life in Balance Clinical Hypnotherapist Welcome to the page for A Life in Balance hypnotherapy, www.alifeinbalance.co.uk. The list is endless. Thank you.

I offer effective techniques to enable people with physical, psychological and emotional problems to bring their lives back into balance. Hypnotherapy can be used to help a variety of symptoms and feelings, including stress, anxiety, phobias, habits, fertility, menopause, pain, relationships, physical symptoms exacerbated by stress such as IBS, healthy eating, smoking cessation, as well as unwante

d feelings associated with unresolved past events. Cancer support is also one of my specialisations. It’s a great way to relax and improve your well-being naturally and easily too. People also come to improve their performance, whether its presentations at work, examinations, athletics or a musical recital. How would you use it to help you live your life to the full? You will find hints and tips on things you can do to help yourself on my website as well as information about hypnotherapy and its benefits. Sessions are comfortable and relaxing as well as confidential. I also work closely with MASScot, a charity for people with melanoma and their families and have worked at the BBC as a staff practitioner as well as with Glasgow Health centres and as a complementary therapist at Gartnavel Hospital. As a former Childline counsellor and mentor with Barnardos, I also have experience working with children and teenagers. I am qualified in Emotional Freedom Technique and EMDR as well as Reiki. You can find out more about me and about hypnotherapy on my website, where you can also make an appointment. If there is anything that you would like to see on the site that isn’t there please feel free to make suggestions.

Christmas isn’t joyful for everyone — and that’s okay.

For some young people, the Christmas period can feel heavy, lonely, or overwhelming. Changes to routine, family pressures, and expectations can make this time of year particularly hard.

That’s why Megan’s Space will be opening our office over the Christmas period as a safe, calm place for young people who may be struggling or who don’t enjoy the holidays.

This is a warm, welcoming, and supportive space. There’s no pressure to feel festive and no expectation to share more than you want to.

Who this space is for:
• Young people under the age of 25
• Those who are feeling low, overwhelmed, or isolated
• Anyone looking for a safe place to sit, talk, or simply be

To help us keep the space safe for everyone, we ask that attendees:
• Are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Are able to engage respectfully with staff and others

Please note: this is not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone you know needs immediate support, we encourage reaching out to emergency services or local crisis support.

Here, there’s no pretending — just understanding, warmth, and space to breathe.

💛 You’re welcome
💛 You’re not alone
💛 We’re here

“Mental Health isn’t a luxury - it’s a right.
Let’s keep speaking up until everyone feels seen. “

Today on world mental health day we are asked to consider how we can ensure everyone is seen and heard and has access to support and services, particularly in crisis.

As a charity we would like to apologise to you.

We have not been vocal enough in highlighting the lack of systemic support available to young people, indeed anyone, and their families, in need of support.

We are so thankful to all who have helped support Megan’s Space and other mental health charities, ensuring that we are indeed available, and that there is somewhere to turn to.

If you presented with a blocked artery you wouldn’t be told to go away and come back when you are actually experiencing a heart attack.

Sadly, people expressing mental health challenges and issues are being told to go away and come back when they are in acute crisis.

Please let these people know they are seen and heard by you, friends and family, and please give them hope.

Let them know that there is a better, brighter future available to them.

Encourage them to become an expert in their thoughts and feelings and to reach out to the many agencies who will listen, will support and possibly provide therapeutic interventions that can and do help.

Your life matters isn’t a slogan it is truth and we promise to become more visible and louder fighting to create quick, accessible, high quality, compassionate and effective support and interventions with you and for you.
