Our Children’s Occupational Therapy Service is holding a new series of Sensory Regulation Workshops for parents and carers.

You’ll have an opportunity to speak to Occupational Therapists and ask any questions you might have.

Advice leaflets will be available to take home 🏘️

You do not need to pre-book or make a referral to Occupational Therapy to attend.

Come along to one of following sessions:

⏺️ 16 September - Involve House, Magherafelt.
⏺️ 13 October - Sandel Centre, Coleraine.
⏺️ 17 November - Town Hall, Carrickfergus.

Each workshop will begin at 6.30pm and will last approximately two hours, with a short break in the middle.

Please note, your child should not attend and will not need to be seen by Occupational Therapy, unless a further request for support is indicated ☺️

If you would prefer to watch a recording of the presentation at home go to https://orlo.uk/sensory_workshop_jxc8D

Many young people who v**e have never smoked ci******es.

Research shows that young people who v**e are more likely to go on to smoke ci******es compared to those who don’t v**e.

Mixing any drugs, which includes any combination of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, illicit drugs or alcohol can be dangerous.

It’s safest not to use any drugs at all. But if you still choose to use them, reduce your risk of harm:

• Dose low and go slow
• Stick to one drug
• Never use alone

If you or someone you’re with has taken something and start to feel unwell don’t wait, get help. Find a medic or call 999 in an emergency.

Your safety matters!

Our Speech and Language Therapy drop-in information session returns to Glengormley Library later this month.

Families in the East Antrim area (Glengormley, Whiteabbey, Carrickfergus, Larne, Ballyclare) are invited to come along to discuss any concerns they might have around a child’s speech, language, or communication skills.

🗓️ Tuesday 18 August

🕰️ 9:30am–11:30am

There'll be an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your child’s communication development, and get practical advice or reassurance 😊

These events are for children aged four years old and under and those with parental responsibility, who would like to speak with a Speech and Language Therapist.

No appointment needed — first come, first served basis ✨

A further drop-in session will be held in September.
