British Tai Chi British Tai Chi was founded by Tai Chi Master Peter Fletcher.

Whilst the majority of classes are held in the Whitnash Civic Centre, we also have classes in Kenilworth, Banbury and Camberley.

Question - Is it worth while doing Tai Chi 🤔
Answer - I started Tai Chi because osteoarthritis in my knee had become so painful that kneeling, climbing stairs and even walking were difficult. Although sceptical at first, I decided to give it a try as a last resort.

Nine months later, my knee pain has completely gone. I can walk for miles, climb stairs without support, and kneel comfortably again. My core strength, flexibility, and balance have also improved significantly.

The biggest surprise has been the impact on my mental wellbeing. The gentle movements and mindful breathing of T’ai Chi and Qigong have reduced my stress and anxiety, improved my sleep, and brought a greater sense of calm and balance to my life. As a result, I have also been able to lose weight steadily since starting T’ai Chi , an added benefit I never expected.

I cannot recommend T’ai Chi highly enough. It has transformed both my physical health and my overall wellbeing. It has also introduced me to fascinating cultural traditions and philosophies that I greatly enjoy exploring.

Peter and Sanghui are excellent teachers. They demonstrate and explain each movement with clarity and patience, offer thoughtful guidance, and have created a warm, welcoming, and supportive Academy where everyone feels encouraged to learn and progress.
