The Dell Park, Leamington Spa

The Dell Park, Leamington Spa The Friends of the Dell is a community group that supports the Dell Park in Leamington Spa. Our aim is to encourage interest and pride in the park.

Share history, information and ideas as the park develops. Gals have been looking after the gardens, clearing and planting since 2006. They are completely self funding, applying for grants for plants etc when necessary, to help the projects they work on, in this case the Dell. Recycling is important to them and many of the plants have been gleaned from compost heaps and skips. Local residents have

also made many plant donations - all most gratefully received! The Friends are the official support group for the Dell, and you can join them for a small annual fee, and join in their activities and share your views on the park's future. There are many links on this page to their website, where you can contact them direct should you wish to join them.

The Dell Park is very fortunate to have had the GALS tending to the flower beds in the Dell for many years now.

GALS stands for Gardners Around Leamington Spa. They are volunteer gardners and do an absolutely fantastic job.

The GALS are looking for some help with the work that they are doing - this could be weeding, sweeping or planting. They currently meet on a Thursday morning in the Dell.

Thanks to all those who came to the party on Sunday, and especially to those who helped out on the day. Superstars the lot of you!

We’re really looking forward to the Party tomorrow! Hopefully the weather is looking a bit brighter too.

Unfortunately we won’t have a bouncy castle this year. As the event is on council land there are understandably strict regulations which apply around inflatables. We hope this doesn’t cause too much disappointment for little ones.

The Dell is looking beautiful at the moment with an amazing array of flowers! We are very fortunate that every Thursday morning we have a team of volunteer gardeners who come and transform the flower beds in the park. We are very lucky and would like to say a big thank you to the GALS (Gardeners around Leamington Spa!) - your hard work is greatly appreciated!

Party in the Dell is all about celebrating the lovely Dell Park and our community. The event is organised and run by volunteers and this year we’re putting a call out for some more helping hands to ensure!

👉 Can you bake us a cake for our cake sale?

👉 Can you spend an hour on Sunday morning helping us put up the gazebos?

👉 Can you spend an hour helping us run the cake sale and sell raffle tickets?

👉 Do you have First Aid at work training? Could you be a First Aider for an hour an two?
