⏰ Don’t let a long NHS waiting list mean missing your child’s best opportunity for treatment!

The growing years are the best time to correct certain bite problems. If treatment is delayed for too long, we may miss the window where we can guide jaw growth naturally.

➡️ This young patient had:
🦷 A large overjet (prominent front teeth)
🦷 A deep bite
🦷 A chipped front tooth – a common injury when front teeth stick out and are less protected

✨ By starting orthodontic treatment at the right stage of growth, we corrected the bite, reduced the overjet and improved both function and protection of the front teeth.

🧒👧 When should children be seen?
We recommend an orthodontic assessment from around 7 years of age. This doesn’t always mean treatment starts immediately, but it helps us identify children who would benefit from treatment while they’re still growing.

If your child is on a long NHS waiting list, consider a private orthodontic assessment. For some children, waiting too long can mean missing the ideal growth window, making treatment more complex later.
