Our vision is a better quality of life for people in Leeds. Our co

mbined membership stands at almost 300 third sector organisations working across Leeds – large and small with membership open to all third sector organisations working in health and care in Leeds. Forum Central supports and represents the diverse third sector working with health and social care needs in Leeds; we promote and support partnership working across the city and provide information for and about the sector. We do this across health and care with a focus on four specialist areas of: learning disabilities, mental health, older people and physical and sensory impairment. All our activities are informed, driven and led by our members and our Boards of Trustees. Member organisations are supported through sharing good practice, networking and partnership opportunities, and are kept informed about what is happening across our specialist areas and the wider health and care agenda. We bring a long history of strategic partnership working and work closely with our health and care partners including Leeds City Council, NHS Leeds CCG, the three NHS trusts, public health colleagues as well as our third sector infrastructure partners.

Really valuable to hear Dr Temitope Ademosu and Debbie Watters speak with such practical clarity about how peace can move from an abstract idea into real change across our homes, streets and communities.

There are many important conversations this morning at the Peace Conference 2026 at Headingley Stadium, focused on restorative justice, community leadership and practical approaches to peacebuilding.

Thanks to Inspire North for bringing people together around such an important discussion.

This survey helps build a clear picture of the pressures organisations in Leeds are facing right now. That evidence is used in conversations with system partners and helps shape decisions that affect the sector.

It takes just a few minutes to complete, but makes a real difference.

Good to bring Health and Care Leaders together yesterday.

There’s a lot changing across the Leeds health and care system, and this session felt like an important moment to pause, share thinking, and hear directly from partners.

We heard about the scale of change in commissioning, with a shift towards West Yorkshire and a stronger role for the Leeds Provider Partnership. Alongside that, Leeds City Council set out its prevention agenda, with a clear focus on reducing demand, working earlier, and building on the strengths already in communities.

Across our breakout discussions, a few things stood out:

• The pace of change is significant. There are real implications for how the third sector engages with the system
• There is a clear opportunity for the sector to play a stronger role in prevention and neighbourhood working
• A stronger, more coordinated Third Sector voice will be increasingly important

There was also a strong sense that, despite structural change, the fundamentals remain the same. People, communities and relationships still sit at the centre of this work.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the conversation. If you are a VCSE / Third Sector leader who hasn’t been to one of our events and you want to engage with us, drop us an email at [email protected] , and join the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at yesterday’s Healthy Working Life event and shared their learning.

It was valuable to come together to reflect on the impact of the Healthy Working Life programme in Leeds and hear directly from grant holders about the difference their work is making.

We were pleased to hear that the programme has exceeded targets, with 15% of participants progressing into employment.
