I can’t believe this day is finally here. Friday 8th May 2026. The day I start my yoga 200 YTT in Bali. I’ve wanted to do this for many years but haven’t had the courage, having taken a sabbatical from work, it felt like the best possible moment. I wanted to do this for myself and to take my practice further. To understand more deeply about the mind and body connection, and I’m so excited to be immersed in the middle of Bali, in nature for the next 3 weeks.
I first got into yoga back in 2017 when recommended a local class in Huddersfield to me. I wanted to try something that could help a back injury (from lifting too much weight in the gym). What started as rehab for my back turned into a regular practice and a safe space. A space I would come to, to carve out time for myself.
Yoga has been there for me when I needed stillness, when I’ve struggled mentally, it’s been there through the days we were locked down in Covid and needed something to make us feel sane.
I’ve met some friends for life through yoga - , and being my OG’s. I carry those memories in my heart 🫶🏼
Here’s to the next chapter of my yoga journey - I’m going to embrace it arms wide and open.
Namaste 🫶🏼
