This sums it all up in basic terms. Don't be fooled and convinced again on national issues that it wont change.

This is about how Labours last 15 years of control in Leeds and fool hardy spending on pet projects like the year of culture and failed private sector hotel loans. The deceit of the Library building sale, all individually voted for by our Labour Cllrs, scared to speak up to keep there paid roles.

Its time to break from national parties and take back control to deliver results in our area. This why i am standing again, I have stood before 2021and 2022 in this my own ward/area because i want see the area thrive and get its fair share.

Unlike some of our other candidates who appear to have stood before in other seats and areas across the city, they tell you they understand 'local' issues, they tell you they are 'local', when they may never have set foot in the ward, the playbook mantra seems to be "i want to be Cllr and anywhere will do, regardless of who i fool to get there". Please check who you are actually voting for locally!.

As a truly Local Independent i have no big party ideology, no party control on my votes, no big money party donors funding me, just the true interest of our area the place where i live.

Hi everyone, I'm Mark Nicholson, Theresa's brother. She has kindly allowed me some space on her page to reach out to some of you who live locally, particularity in Crossgates, Swarcliffe and Whinmoor. Some of you may know me already.

I am currently standing as an Independent Candidate in the Local election on Thursday, May 7th for the Crossgates and Whinmoor Ward which covers the practice areas.

Why am i, just an ordinary resident standing?

To me, like many the whole party system has broken down and no one really knows who represents their interests anymore.

Like many i have become concerned with the Increase in neighbourhood nuisance and ASB, Fly tipping and dumping of rubbish in the area, fed up with the Secret and monetary planning deals and green field errrosion, the under investments in local roads leading to the now pot holes crisis and street cleaning issues, to mention a few.

A particular concern is the fear generated by recent local events whether its the increase in commercial burglarys, ongoing vandalism of buses in whinmoor,m electric bikes or just the generally feeling of been unsafe in the area.

The apparent lack of action from current elected representatives to hold police to account is unacceptable.

The Crossgates and Whinmoor businesses also need passionate local representation and help to attract foot fall back from the Springs, off set the closing banks, loosing big name supermarkets and small traders to restore confidence if we are all to thrive.

I just feel i can make a difference, what i may lack in political smooching, i feel i can more than make up as a life long resident with an individual passion to help people resolve their problems.

Please also remember this election is about local not national issues.
