The scales are NOT an accurate measure of day-to-day fat loss.
They are ONE measure.
Because honestly?
Women can do EVERYTHING “right” and still see the scales fluctuate because of:
☀️ heat
🧂 salt
❤️ hormones
😴 poor sleep
😩 stress
🏋️♀️ exercise inflammation
..and then suddenly decide:
“Right brilliant. I’ve ruined everything then.”
You haven’t.
This is why I always tell my ladies:
If the scales go up one week but you’ve done everything amazingly...
have another amazing week and see what happens.
Usually it settles itself back down, but if needs be we an tweak - no drama.
Because fat loss is rarely perfectly linear.
And eating well and moving your body is NEVER a waste.
Ever.
Even if weight loss needs a few tweaks along the way.
Because improving your health, energy, strength, symptoms and habits still matters massively.
Honestly?
Part of this journey is improving your relationship with the scales too.
Because if a tiny fluctuation sends you into a complete nosedive...
the scales are controlling YOU.
Not helping you ❤️
And if the scales genuinely spiral you every time they fluctuate?
Use other measures instead.
Photos.
Measurements.
Your jeans.
Your energy.
Your symptoms.
Because your progress is about SO much more than one random Tuesday morning weigh-in.
Follow for realistic, science-aligned midlife weight loss and symptom support without the all-or-nothing nonsense ❤️
