Happy International Nurses Day 💙
2017 — 25 year old me, fresh out of a demanding four-year nursing degree with a four-year-old by my side. Those nursing days were gruelling, but they shaped me into the strong, courageous, and independent woman I am today.
Fast forward 9 years — now 34, with two kids in tow and onto clinic number 2, after returning to university and completing my prescribing course this year. Nursing has never just been a job to me; it’s a lifelong commitment to always better myself for my patients and the people I care for.
Life has definitely thrown me some curveballs along the way, and at times the journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m proof that you don’t have to be extraordinary — just consistent. I’m just a regular girl who keeps showing up every day and moving one step closer to my goals.
If you want something badly enough, go and get it. No matter what stands in your way, just keep chipping away. Small steps still move you forward.
I am still a nurse, I will always be a nurse, and I use my nursing knowledge and skills every day within my private practice — assessing, treating, supporting, and mentoring my clients daily.
To every nurse past and present: Happy International Nurses Day 💙 you are awesome individuals some of the most selfless people in this 🌍
