Anterior fibrous ridge- good suction achieved. Fibrous ridges are my favourite to work with. This time, I did not use an open window technique. Alginate impression with adequately spaced tray worked its magic.. with correct base design and occlusion 💫

I absolutely love this choice of prosthesis, they fit and function brilliantly. The difference in weight of the metal is.. huge. Patients love the feel of them 🪶

F/F dentures completed at HQ Dental. Enigma Life teeth and high impact acrylic.

The patient wanted a naturally looking smile without making the teeth look "crooked".

The face of horror patients make when I tell them "we need to improve on the extensions of your old dentures and make them longer"... Patients soon realise the benefits of correct denture extensions and never look back. The comfort and stability overpowers the feeling of fullness at first.

Top set- new F/F made by myself clinically and technically.
Bottom set- made a few MONTHS prior to the "new set" by a different clinician. Metal frame on "old" set was made due to repeated breakages on lower denture.

This was a challenging case. The patient had high aesthetic expectations and wanted a big, wide smile. Previously, the anterior teeth were too labial on the upper denture. The bottom denture teeth were outside of the neutral zone, making this set unfunctional. Forces of the upper and lower lip kept pushing both dentures out, even with a great amount of denture fixative.

Occlusal and extension improvements helped to create a functional set of FF dentures with suction on both.
