Medical pedicure

One of those cases where you don’t know where to start.
When I first qualified as a Foot Health Practicioner I knew I wanted to offer waaaaay more than just your regular pedicures. I wanted to be able to address problem and either fix it or be able to refer to different specialist.

Here we have involuted toe nail ( can offer bracing to fix the issue), corns (gentle removal with scalpel as sanding bands widely used by various nail companies creates heat and encourage skin to grow thicker and faster)

I was also able to quickly make pressure relief insoles (process of making those in next reel) to give those corns time to heal.

During this medical pedicure I also noticed pitted keratolysis and athlets foot and managed to take nail samples for client to take to GP for dermatophyt testing. Advised client to buy creams/ powders to help with the issue and widely discussed preventative after care.

All this in sterile, private settings . Just me and the client.
