Hi beautiful people, our next monthly retreat at DAZL HQ will be an evening retreat from 5.00pm till around 9.00pm.

It's a pre summer solstice event as I know there are lots of wonderful events over the solstice weekend and I'll be away at our Bridlington retreat.

Opening Screening & Guidance

Primal Resonance soundscape, we will be working with powerful, high‑vibrational instruments — including the didgeridoo, the gong, singing bowls, the shamanic drum, and the flute. These are ancient tools that carry deep frequency, strong energy, and profound healing power; their sounds are designed to move through every layer of your being, shift energy, awaken memory, and resonate deep within body, heart and spirit.

Because these vibrations are strong and far‑reaching, please be aware and mindful:

The Benefits

Elderflower: Packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, it is traditionally used at the very first sign of a cold or to soothe a stuffy nose. It can also slightly warm the body and encourage sweating, which makes it great for cold and flu recovery.

Lemon Balm: This herb is the perfect complement to elderflower, as it acts on the nervous system to ease stress, calm anxious thoughts, and promote a good night's sleep.

Honey: Adds a comforting, natural sweetness while providing its own soothing benefits for a scratchy throat.

How to Brew

Prepare the Flowers: Carefully remove the tiny white elderflowers from the green stems and leaves. (The green parts can be bitter and may cause an upset stomach.)

Combine: Add a small handful of fresh elderflowers and a few torn leaves of lemon balm to a mug or tea infuser.

Steep: Pour in just-boiled water, cover the mug (to trap those fragrant, beneficial oils), and let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes.

Strain & Sweeten: Strain out the flowers and leaves, then stir in a teaspoon of honey to taste.

Why staying hydrated matters

Water makes up over half of our body, and every single part of us — from our brain and heart to our muscles and skin — relies on it to work properly. When the weather heats up, we lose more fluid through sweat, breathing and daily movement, so we need to top up regularly. Staying well-hydrated helps keep your body temperature steady, stops you feeling tired, dizzy or lightheaded, keeps your energy levels high, supports clear thinking, and helps your skin stay healthy. It also helps your body flush out waste and keeps joints and muscles working smoothly. Even mild dehydration can leave you feeling sluggish, irritable or unable to focus — so drinking enough isn’t just a health habit, it’s a simple way to care for how you feel, inside and out.

💧 Tips to stay cool & hydrated

✅ Sip water regularly throughout the day — don’t wait until you feel thirsty
✅ Keep a reusable water bottle handy, so you can drink wherever you are
✅ Eat water-rich foods: watermelon, cucumber, oranges, strawberries, lettuce, celery
✅ Stay out of direct sun between 11am and 3pm when it’s hottest
✅ Wear loose, light-coloured, breathable clothing
✅ Use cool cloths on your neck, wrists or forehead to lower body temperature
✅ Take cool showers or baths to refresh yourself
✅ Limit drinks with lots of sugar, caffeine or alcohol — these can dry you out
✅ Rest in shaded or cool spaces, and pace yourself so you don’t overheat

Shake Off The Grey — Release & Unwind through active, expressive movement.
Purpose: To physically, mentally, and emotionally shake off the heaviness, cold, damp, and stagnation of the last few months. When the season is dull, our energy gets stuck — this workshop gets it moving again. We do not follow rules. We shake our arms, our legs, our whole bodies — shaking out the cold, shaking out the tiredness, shaking out the things we’ve held onto because there was no sun to burn them off. We stomp out the heavy mud of the season, we stretch upward toward the light. It is loud, it is freeing, it is pure release.

🧘Softening & Opening — Making Space for Light. Gentle, deep, emotional release.
Purpose: Winter and a cold spring make us contract, close up, harden our hearts and bodies to protect ourselves. Now we learn to soften, open, and expand, so light can enter every part of us with gentle assisted Stretching: Slow, deep stretches focused on the areas that hold winter tension: the shoulders, chest, hips, and belly.
