This is the reality of the people I work with: competing priorities, working until 1am, feeling like they have 100 tabs open in their brain, and feeling like everything is important.

When your brain is juggling work, deadlines, ideas, responsibilities, and other people’s needs, it’s no surprise that looking after yourself can feel difficult.

Happiest of birthdays to my forever best friend ❤️👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻 My sister, my soulmate, my everything. The most ambitious, hardworking, and caring person I know. The greatest gift our parents ever gave us was each other. I’m so grateful to do life by your side. I love you always. Happy Birthday, Sis!!! 🎉🥳🎂🎈🎊❤️

Not sure where to start with healthy eating? Keep it simple.

🥦 Eat vegetables with at least two meals each day.
🥩 Include a source of protein at every meal.
🌾 Choose high-fibre carbohydrates where you can.
🍎 Keep nutritious snacks on hand.
💧 Stay well hydrated throughout the day.

Small changes, repeated consistently, are often more effective than trying to overhaul your diet overnight. Which of these habits would make the biggest difference for you?

Friday evening arrives and the week is finally done.

But instead of relaxing, you’re standing in the kitchen.

Not hungry. Just...there.

You’re not looking for food. You’re looking for a way to decompress. And food is the easiest, fastest thing available.

This is one of the most common patterns I see in clients. And most of them had no idea it was a pattern until we named it together.

The shift from work mode to rest mode is genuinely hard for your nervous system. Cortisol doesn’t just switch off at 6pm. Your brain is still scanning for the next task, the next problem. Food gives it something to do.

So tonight, try this:

1. Give yourself a 10-minute transition ritual before you go near the kitchen. A walk, a shower, five minutes outside. Something that signals to your body: work is done.

2. Ask yourself one question before you eat: am I hungry, or am I just unwinding? You don’t have to stop eating. Just notice.

That pause is where change starts.
