It is yet again that time of year when exam season begins and our student giveaway is back! ❤

The levels of anxiety and stress amongst students is high as they embark on exam season this coming week till middle of June. They will be feeling immense pressure at this time, nerves and anxiety.

As someone who works closely with teenagers & GCSE & A Level students, I would like to support our students and give away a Stress Away or Clear Mind roll on bottle (worth £10) to 10 GCSE or A level students who might be struggling at this difficult time nominated by YOU!

The power of 'mallish' (massage) passed down from one generation of women to the next.

This oracle card from Rising Rani Oracle   resonates so closely with memories of me watching my grandma massage her scalp and body with mustard oil in her indian village along with head massages from my mum as a child.

This image truly sums up my passion for massage and oils ingrained from traditions and rituals for self care from the women I grew up with. Exactly why the Devaiya brand was launched to share importance of oils and massage for self care and healing.

I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful at York Health & Healing festival today. Her unique oracle cards are beautifully curated with artist .kainth to promote feminine power and self healing for south asian women. The Ancestry Rani card truly took my breath away.

I often get asked where are these products from? Where are they made? And do you buy them in?

If you didn't know..Here are the facts...

Devaiya products are not bought from a supplier or imported. Each product is lovingly made, bottled, labelled, and packaged by me at home in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.

Born in 2015 and rebranded in Sept 2021 with the help of an expert graphics designer, Gary. We worked tirelessly for months reviewing every detail of each product, including the name and packaging design. We played with many designs and added bespoke illustrations to new boxes, designed labels and relaunched the brand with a bright, distinctive style. Each product was made with cleaner organic ingredients and recyclable gold closures for improved sustainability.

The bright colours represent the vibrant punjabi culture (and chakra colours!) linking to my origins and the word 'Devaiya', meaning 'medicine' in panjabi is also a combination of my both my children's names!

All Devaiya products are made with cold pressed organic oils and are sealed and packaged with love and care. Every bottle and jar continues to be filled with my own blend of oils, labelled and boxed with my very own hands, almost a decade on.

There's something special about handling and curating each and every product by hand. The focus, time and energy that goes into each bottle and jar is a vital part of my job and my purpose.

A shoutout to all of my small business friends I have met over the years who, too, are dedicated to offering the best services and products made with love, passion, and authenticity. There are often no days off, especially when you love what you do.

Happy New Year everyone! Slightly delayed after a much needed break with my loved ones. A huge thankyou to everyone who continues to support the brand and welcome to new customers who are just discovering the range which will be 10 years old this year!

Thank you to everyone who visited Devaiya at the many different locations this past year abd all my gorgeous friends and family who regularly come and support. It's been a challenging but busy year exhibiting in all weather conditions and award winning for several products again. With Stress Away winning Green Parent Gold award in best body oil, Nourish Nails winning best Nail oil and some recognition for Aches Away as pain relief for menstrual care which was a lovely surprise.

As always, this wouldn't be possible without ongoing support from You, the customers and the people who continue to share the range through word of mouth and share your positive experiences which mean so much. I look forward to what lies ahead for rest of the journey. As always, even on the long, hard days, I love sharing the range and the best moments for me are when the products work their magic in a short period of time and people return feeling better. ✨️ ❤️🙏
