🌿 Where are you now — and where would you like to go?

Sometimes we know that something needs to change, but we don't quite know where to begin.

We may be juggling work, relationships, health, responsibilities and plans for the future — while rarely taking the time to look at our life as a whole.

This is the idea behind my Lifestyle Mapping sessions.

It is a personalised space to pause and explore where you are now, what is working well, what may need more attention and what you would like the next chapter of your life to look like.

During the session, we look together at different areas of your life and wellbeing — including energy and wellbeing, relationships, work and purpose, personal growth, creativity and the things that matter most to you.

✨ I also bring in a small element of numerology, using your date of birth and personal cycle as a reflective lens.

For me, numerology here isn't about predicting your future. It is another way of asking meaningful questions about the stage of life you are experiencing and what may resonate with you right now.

We then bring everything together to identify your priorities and a few realistic next steps.

The session also includes a short mindfulness or guided reflection, giving you some quiet space to reconnect with yourself.

If you are interested, Bio-Well can be included as an optional reflective wellbeing tool. It is not used for medical diagnosis.

You leave the session with something simple but personal:

a clearer picture of where you are, what matters to you now, and where you would like to go next.

What if you gave yourself permission to simply slow down? 🌿

Life can become very full — work, responsibilities, family, plans, thoughts and the constant feeling that there is always something else to do.

Sometimes, what we need is simply a little space to stop.

Access Bars® is one of the holistic wellbeing sessions I offer through Holistic Journey. During the session, you lie comfortably while gentle touch is applied to specific points on the head.

For me, the intention of the session is simple: to create a quiet space where you can relax, switch off from everyday demands for a while and enjoy some time that is entirely yours.

There is nothing you need to achieve.
Nothing you need to work out.
Just an opportunity to pause, relax and reconnect with yourself.

🌿 Private Access Bars® sessions are available in Leicester.

If you're curious about Access Bars® and would like to know what a session involves, send me a private message here at Holistic Journey. I'm always happy to explain more before you decide whether it feels right for you.

🍂 **September: Between Completion and New Beginnings**

“With summer’s best of weather,
And autumn’s best of cheer.”

— Helen Hunt Jackson, *September*

September arrives quietly, standing between two seasons. Summer has not completely disappeared, yet autumn is already making its presence felt—in the cooler mornings, the changing light and the first leaves beginning to turn.

Perhaps this is why September often feels like a natural moment for reflection.

In numerology, September is the ninth month of the year. The number 9 represents completion, wisdom, compassion and the courage to release what has fulfilled its purpose.

But September 2026 carries another interesting vibration. The year 2026 reduces to 1:

2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10
1 + 0 = 1

When the energy of September’s 9 meets the energy of the universal year 1, the result is another 1—a number associated with beginnings, independence, intention and a new direction.

So perhaps the message of this September is not simply to move forward.

It is to pause long enough to understand what we are leaving behind—and then to begin again with greater awareness.

Like nature, we do not have to hold on to every season of our lives. Some chapters are meant to be completed. Some expectations can be released. Some dreams may need to take a different shape.

September reminds us that endings and beginnings are not opposites. Very often, they are part of the same transition.

As I enter this month, I am asking myself:

What am I ready to complete?
What am I ready to release?
And what new beginning am I willing to welcome?

May September bring us the wisdom to recognise what has ended, the courage to let it go and the clarity to take the next step. 🍂✨

IRON & MIDLIFE: Could Low Iron Be Contributing to How You Feel?

Recently, I started writing on LinkedIn about women’s health in midlife, drawing on my Public Health studies, research, and my growing interest in perimenopause and menopause.

I would also like to bring some of these conversations here to Holistic Journey, in a simpler, more accessible and personal way.

One of the first topics I explored was the connection between heavy periods, iron deficiency and the way women can feel during perimenopause.

Fatigue, brain fog, headaches, dizziness and low energy can easily become part of the story we tell ourselves about midlife:

“It’s probably my hormones.”

But symptoms can have more than one explanation.

During perimenopause, some women experience heavier or more frequent periods. Ongoing blood loss can contribute to iron deficiency, which can also cause symptoms such as tiredness, lack of energy, headaches and other changes in how we feel.

This is why persistent symptoms shouldn’t simply be dismissed as “just menopause.”

For me, understanding midlife health means looking at the whole picture — recognising hormonal changes, but also considering nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, emotional wellbeing and knowing when something needs medical attention.

🌿 This is a direction I would like to explore more here at Holistic Journey: bringing together women’s midlife health education and holistic wellbeing.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more about some of the changes women may experience during perimenopause and menopause — and practical ways we can become more informed and proactive about our wellbeing.

💬 Have you ever had your iron levels checked during perimenopause?

This post is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for individual medical advice.

✨ From Oxford to Stonehenge and Glastonbury — A Journey of Knowledge, Reflection and Renewal ✨
Two days ago, I returned from a memorable journey that began in Oxford, where I attended a series of wonderful numerology lectures.
This was my third year returning to Oxford for this experience, and each visit has offered something different: new knowledge, meaningful conversations, beautiful connections and fresh perspectives to carry into both my personal life and my work in the UK.
This year’s journey felt particularly significant because I am currently experiencing some health and mobility challenges. Walking and managing long days are not always easy for me, and I was unsure how much I would be able to do.
Mindfulness and mindful movement have become important parts of the way I support myself through this period. They help me stay connected to my body, respect its limits and move with greater awareness. By taking breaks, moving at my own pace and listening to what my body needed, I completed the journey — something for which I feel deeply grateful.
From Oxford, we travelled to Stonehenge, where I discovered a detail that felt remarkably personal. Just inside the ancient earthwork is a circle of 56 pits, known as the Aubrey Holes.
I will soon be celebrating my 56th birthday.
Perhaps it was simply a coincidence, but I experienced it as a beautiful synchronicity.
In numerology:
**5 + 6 = 11**
**1 + 1 = 2**
The number 5 carries the energy of change, freedom, experience and transformation, while 6 is connected with responsibility, care, healing, family and harmony.
Together, they create 11 — a master number associated with intuition, inspiration, spiritual awareness and the courage to follow an inner calling. When reduced further, 11 becomes 2, representing balance, sensitivity, patience, cooperation and learning to move through life with greater trust and gentleness.
Perhaps reaching 56 is an invitation to pause and reflect.
To take from the past only what is still needed: the lessons, the wisdom, the strength and the love — while gently releasing the weight that no longer belongs in the next chapter.
Our journey continued to Glastonbury, a place whose atmosphere touched me deeply. Glastonbury Abbey was especially impressive, with its ancient ruins, peaceful apple orchard and historic kitchen. Walking through its grounds felt like stepping into another time.
At Chalice Well, we paused in the tranquillity of the gardens and placed our feet in the flowing water. It was a simple but deeply refreshing and grounding moment. 💧🌿
We also explored Glastonbury’s characterful streets, with their colourful windows filled with crystals, books, spiritual symbols and esoteric treasures. The entire town seems to bring together history, spirituality and mystery in its own unique way.
I returned home physically tired, but with a full heart — carrying beautiful memories, renewed inspiration and a quiet sense of achievement.
Some journeys are not only about the places we visit. They arrive at a particular moment in our lives to remind us of how far we have come, what we are ready to release and what we consciously choose to carry forward.
Perhaps this was one of those journeys. ✨

Perimenopause: What Changes When We Know Before It Begins? ❤️As a woman experiencing the realities of the menopausal transition and someone deeply interested in women’s health and wellbeing, I often find myself thinking about one question:
How different could this journey be if women knew what to expect BEFORE it began?
🤔For many of us, education about perimenopause comes only after symptoms have already started affecting our everyday lives:😴 Sleep changes.
🤯 Migraines may become more frequent or different.🔋 Energy levels fluctuate.
💪 Joint and muscle discomfort may appear.
🧠 Concentration becomes harder.📉 Mood and confidence can change. And because these changes do not necessarily happen at the same time — or even appear to be connected — many women spend months or even years wondering: “What is happening to me?”
🥺But imagine knowing earlier. Imagine entering this stage of life already understanding that hormonal changes can affect far more than periods and hot flushes. When we know beforehand, things change:✅ We recognise changes earlier.✅ We know which questions to ask our doctors.✅ We are more likely to seek appropriate support sooner.✅ We can focus on sleep, nutrition, movement, and bone health before difficulties become overwhelming.✅ In the workplace, we can ask for support before reaching exhaustion or considering leaving our careers. This is why I believe menopause education should begin much earlier in a woman’s life — not when she is already struggling.
🌸We need a vital shift from reaction to preparation. Instead of: Symptoms ➡️ Struggle ➡️ Crisis ➡️ Intervention. What if we worked towards:
✨ Education ➡️ Awareness ➡️ Early recognition ➡️ Timely support ➡️ Better health outcomes
✨Education cannot prevent every symptom, and every woman will experience the transition differently. But knowledge gives us something incredibly powerful: the opportunity to prepare. Knowing beforehand may not change the transition itself — but it can change how we enter it.
💖Earlier education. Earlier recognition. Better support. Better health through midlife and beyond. Do you think women should learn about perimenopause and menopause much earlier in life? At what age did you first hear an open discussion about it?
👇 Let’s talk in the comments!

🌿 Weekend Reflection | Universal Day 8 | 08.08.2026

This weekend offers a gentle reminder that not everything that truly matters can be measured.

We often define success through achievements, recognition, or the milestones we reach. Yet some of our greatest contributions are far quieter.

A kind word.
A moment of genuine presence.
The willingness to listen.
The courage to begin again after a difficult week.

For those who resonate with numerology, 08.08.2026 is considered a Universal Day 8.

In numerology, the energy of 8 is often associated with inner strength, responsibility, integrity, balance, abundance, and conscious leadership. Rather than focusing only on external success, it invites us to reflect on how we use our strengths, our choices, and our influence.

Perhaps today is an invitation to pause and ask ourselves:

✨ Am I living in alignment with my values?

✨ Am I creating balance between achievement and wellbeing?

✨ How am I using my presence to make a positive difference in the lives of others?

For me, the symbolism of the number 8 is a reminder that true abundance begins within.

It is reflected in the compassion we show.
The resilience we develop.
The integrity with which we live.
And the quiet ways we support those around us.

As someone passionate about wellbeing and personal growth, I find these moments of reflection valuable—not because they predict the future, but because they encourage us to pause, reconnect with ourselves, and move forward with greater intention.

As this weekend begins, may we remember that our greatest impact is not only found in what we accomplish, but also in who we choose to be.

May this Universal Day 8 inspire you to lead with authenticity, create balance, and trust the strength that already exists within you.

✨ Wishing you a peaceful, meaningful, and restorative weekend.

Midweek Reflection | You Are the Ocean, Not the Waves

Life constantly invites us to react—to every challenge, every emotion, every uncertainty.

But what if our greatest strength is not found in reacting, but in remembering who we are beneath the waves?

Our thoughts, emotions, and experiences are always changing. Like the tides, they rise, they fall, and they eventually pass.

Beneath them lies something quieter, deeper, and more constant: our awareness.

Taking a few moments each day to pause, breathe, and simply observe can gently shift the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.

For me, mindfulness is not about escaping life. It is about meeting life with greater presence, compassion, and clarity.

✨ This week, I invite you to pause for just a few moments.

Notice your breath.
Observe your thoughts without judgment.
Allow yourself to reconnect with the stillness that has always been there.

Because sometimes, peace is not something we need to find.

It is something we remember.

💙 Wishing you a peaceful remainder of the week.

What helps you reconnect with your inner calm?

Evidence Reflection

Living with migraine for many years has made this topic deeply personal to me. It has also inspired me, through my Master of Public Health journey, to explore what current research tells us about women's health.

This week's reflection is inspired by a 2026 review published in Climacteric, the Journal of the International Menopause Society, exploring the relationship between perimenopause and migraine.

One message stood out to me:

💜 Every woman's experience is unique.

Current evidence suggests that hormonal changes during perimenopause may increase the frequency and severity of migraine attacks in some women. Understanding this connection can help us have more informed conversations with healthcare professionals and make decisions that are right for each individual.

This post is intended to raise awareness and encourage evidence-informed conversations—not to replace personalised medical advice.

✨ If you live with migraine or support someone who does, I'd love to hear your experience.

🧠 Beyond the Symptoms 💪

When we think about perimenopause, conversations often focus on hot flushes, sleep disturbances or hormonal changes.

But there is another side of the story that deserves more attention.

Emerging research suggests that hormonal changes during perimenopause may also influence the communication between the brain and muscles. These subtle changes may contribute to reduced strength, changes in coordination and movement, reminding us that midlife health is about much more than reproductive hormones.

Healthy ageing is not simply about how we look.

It is about preserving strength, mobility, independence and the confidence to continue living life fully.

The more we understand what is happening in our bodies, the more empowered we become to make informed choices for our long-term health and wellbeing.

💚 Because healthy longevity is not simply about adding years to life—it is about adding life to those years.

📚 Inspired by emerging research exploring the relationship between perimenopause, brain function, neuromuscular health and healthy ageing.

Bridging public health, evidence-informed wellbeing and compassionate support for women's midlife health.
