Two meetings today, both free 30-minute consultations for my Walking Life Together service.

Interestingly, both people were looking for support and guidance, but in completely different ways. That’s what this is all about though—walking alongside people through different seasons of life, offering encouragement, a listening ear, and practical support where I can.

The part that really stayed with me was that both conversations ended with similar words:

“Thank you, Jay. You’ve made a difference, and I really appreciate your support, encouragement, and commitment to helping others.”

I’m still at the beginning of this new journey, but moments like these make me feel that perhaps I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. Helping others navigate life’s challenges is not only making a difference to them, it’s also helping me grow, heal, and find purpose too.

Sometimes the things we’re searching for are found in serving others. ❤️🙏🏽

Back home after a wonderful few days in Scarborough and straight back into the routine.

Fresh air, plenty of walking, working from home, sunshine, and a positive mindset. ☀️

Another milestone ahead too, as my first appointment since remission has now come through for early July. Whilst there’s always a little apprehension with these things, I’m choosing to focus on gratitude, health, and all the progress that’s been made over the last few months.

One day at a time, one step at a time, and plenty of reasons to stay positive. ❤️

A wonderful long weekend spent with family in Scarborough! ❤️

I took my parents away for a few days, and then my brother and his wife joined us a day later, making it even more special.

We were blessed with lovely weather, enjoyed some great meals, took a trip to Whitby, relaxed with drinks in a café garden, and spent plenty of time chatting, laughing and making memories together.

This morning brought a different kind of blessing with a visit to Queens Street Methodist Church. Living in Leicester, I don’t get the opportunity to attend very often, which always makes it a little more special. I may not know many people there, but I’m always made to feel so welcome, and that’s something I never take for granted.

A lovely way to round off a wonderful weekend.

Weight management isn’t about silly diets, skipping meals or starving yourself. (Although I do love a 24-hour fast now and then 🫣😂)

It’s about consistency over time: eating well, staying active, getting outside in the fresh air and taking time to breathe.

Don’t forget that rest, sleep and recovery are just as important as nutrition and exercise. Small, sustainable habits will always beat quick fixes.

Look after your body – you only get one, and unfortunately, we never know when, in a flash of a second, everything can change. 💚

78.8kg – at the date of remission
66.8kg – 19.06.2026

Not perfect. Not finished. Just consistent. 💪💚

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and whilst Encounter was a real blessing in June, it’s important not to measure every month against the last one. Faithfulness is about building something meaningful over time, one step at a time.

So it’s back onto the streets, sharing the vision, inviting people along, and spreading the word about what could become a truly amazing experience. If June taught us anything, it’s that people are looking for connection, community and a space to encounter God in a fresh way.

We’re excited to see what God has in store next. ❤️

Faith has been a foundation in my life through both the good seasons and the difficult ones.

It hasn’t given me all the answers, but it has given me hope, strength and a sense of purpose when I’ve needed it most.

Over the years I’ve learned that many people simply need someone who will listen without judgement, encourage them when life feels heavy and walk alongside them for a while.

That’s what Walking Life Together is about.

I’m not a minister, counsellor or therapist. I’m simply someone with real-life experience who cares about people and is willing to listen, encourage and support where I can.

If you’re facing challenges, asking questions, looking for encouragement or just need a conversation, my door is open.

You don’t have to walk alone.

🌸 Menopause Support Matters 🌸

Over the last few years, I’ve had more and more conversations with women who are navigating perimenopause and menopause.

What strikes me most is how many feel confused, overwhelmed or simply unsure where to turn for support.

Every woman’s experience is different. Some struggle with sleep, others with energy, brain fog, mood changes or confidence. Many experience a combination of symptoms that can have a real impact on daily life.

One thing I’ve learned is that having someone who will listen, without judgement, can make a real difference.

I’ve also been privileged to support a number of women on their own wellbeing journeys. While there is no one-size-fits-all solution, it’s been encouraging to see some experience significant improvements in areas that had been affecting their daily lives and confidence.

Whether you’re looking for information, support, wellbeing advice, or simply a listening ear, my inbox is always open.

Sometimes the first conversation is the hardest one to have, but it can also be the most important.

💜 You’re not alone.
💜 Support is available.
💜 There is hope.

This week seems to have been all about hospital appointments… one after another!

A year ago, those appointments were filled with uncertainty, tests, treatment plans and more questions than answers. Today, whilst they’re not always about me, they are still a reminder that life can be fragile and that many people around us are carrying challenges, concerns and burdens that others may never see.

Cancer taught me many things, but perhaps the biggest lesson was not to take good health, time or the people around us for granted.

For anyone navigating a difficult season, supporting a loved one, or facing uncertainty of their own, keep going. One step at a time. There is hope, even on the days when it’s hard to see it.

Every journey is different, but every journey matters. ❤️

A small but significant milestone today.

This afternoon I received my first referral through Walking Life Together.

Next week I’ll be meeting with a lady in her 50s for a free 30-minute consultation. In her own words, there’s “nothing serious” going on, but she’d like to feel happier, more positive, and spend less time worrying about things she can’t control.

The forms are ready, the conversation is booked, and now it’s simply about listening, understanding, and seeing whether I can genuinely add value to her situation.

One of the commitments I’ve made from the beginning is that if I don’t believe I’m the right person to help, I’ll say so. But if I can walk alongside someone and help them move forward, then that’s exactly what Walking Life Together is all about.

Every journey starts with a first step. Let’s see where this one leads.

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons we never expected to learn.

Over the years I’ve experienced the highs and lows of business, personal challenges, cancer, recovery, faith, and everything in between. Some of those moments were incredibly difficult, but they’ve also helped shape the person I am today.

One thing I’ve learned is that nobody should have to face life’s challenges alone.

Whether someone is struggling with a diagnosis, looking for direction, wrestling with life’s bigger questions, or simply needing someone to listen, having the right support around you can make all the difference.

That’s why I’m taking a step into something new alongside my day job – creating opportunities to encourage, support and walk alongside others through the experiences I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from.

After all, every person has a story, and every story matters.

❤️ Real Life. Real Faith. Real People.
