Two entrances. Two completely different statements.

Installed yesterday in Leicestershire, this project brings together timeless design and modern engineering - both delivered the Fortis way.

British-made, built in-house, and finished without compromise.

The front entrance is formed as design F915, from our Residence Collection, configured as a pair and finished in RAL 9005 black.
Defined by clean lines and confident proportions, the opening is complemented with solid brass hardware, introducing warmth against the deep black finish and giving the entrance a strong, composed presence.

To the side, a statement in its own right.
An oversized SG5 from our Signature Collection at 1400mm wide, finished in C34 bronze - including the threshold for a seamless, consistent finish.

The handle is CNC cut and manually folded in-house, ensuring the proportions are carefully controlled to sit perfectly within the design. Integrated warm white LED lighting adds a refined layer of detail as the light shifts throughout the day.
Paired with a grey tinted triple glazed sidelight, the overall opening feels considered, architectural and quietly impactful.

Access control has been intentionally kept separate using Navkom Biotouch - fingerprint, keypad and app control - positioned away from the door to maintain a clean, uninterrupted facade.

Both doors are built using our Apex system - a one-piece aluminium frame designed to deliver strength and stability, even at larger, wider sizes. Fully PAS24 tested for security and performance.

A front door that defines the whole elevation.

Fortis F801 design, with the clients house name "Langhus" CNC cut directly into the 3mm aluminium face.

Not applied, not added later - built into the design from the outset.

Finished externally in RAL 2004 Pure Orange, set within a RAL 9005 Jet Black frame, sitting against vertical timber cladding.

Internally, the door is kept black, with RAL 2004 accents carried through the hinges and handle to tie the two sides together.

A matching wall-mounted post box in RAL 2004, with CNC cut numbers, continues the same language across the elevation.

A simple opening, made distinctive through colour and detail.

📍Not all hinges are meant to disappear.

Installed on a new barn build in Leicestershire, this oversized Fortis Apex entrance door measures 1200 x 2400mm and features our F800 design, finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey with a 2000mm bar handle.

But the real talking point…
The hinges.

Finished in RAL 3026 luminous red, they create a bold contrast against the anthracite finish.

A pop of colour that turns a normally hidden component into a deliberate design feature.

And the detail works both ways - when the door is open they stand out & when closed they remain visible internally, adding a subtle architectural feature inside the space too.

Beyond the design, the door is PAS24 tested at full height, engineered for security and stability, making it perfectly suited to modern new-build properties.

This oversized Fortis entrance door delivers impact from the very first glance - bold, architectural, and completely bespoke.

Finished in our rich Elements: Peat Fire, the textured warmth of the door contrasts against the deep RAL 9005 jet black frame, creating a striking, contemporary edge.
The industrial bar handle adds presence, while the bespoke triangular soffit above - crafted in matching Peat Fire - pulls the whole design together with intent and precision.

Set against clean standing seam cladding, the entrance blends into its industrial theme.

Same opening. A completely different statement.

What was once a fairly standard, dated entrance has been completely reworked into something far more considered.

The original handrail cut across the approach and broke up the space. Removing it has opened everything up and allowed the entrance to breathe.

Now in its place, our F914 design, finished in Jet Black (RAL 9005) and framed in Traffic White (RAL 9016) to align with the existing windows. Clean, balanced, and intentional.

Built on our Apex profile, this one-piece framed system allows us to achieve wider door sizes without compromising strength or performance - giving a more impressive, uninterrupted entrance.

The PVD satin brass hardware introduces a softer contrast - a central pull k**b, matching knocker and internal lever handle that sit comfortably against the darker finish.

Internally, the same design and colour is carried through, giving the door presence from both sides, not just the exterior.

The triple glazed sidelights have been finished with blasted privacy glass and a 15mm clear border - a subtle detail that adds depth without distraction.

Same footprint. Entirely different feel.

Our Residence range has seen a lot of traction recently. Being British made, we understand the UK market - focusing on practical, usable hardware and considered design, rather than over-finishing a door.

Designed for an architect, for their own home - and built by their own company, Orchard Meadow Developments. When you’re both the designer and the builder, the front door becomes a key part of the overall vision, not just another element.

A fully bespoke design, CNC machined with wider spaced grooves to create a true plank effect across 3mm aluminium plates. The same pattern is carried internally too, so the design reads consistently from both sides.

Finished in RAL 7003 matt, carefully matched to the windows to keep everything cohesive and architectural against the timber and brickwork.

Spec kept clean and purposeful:

▪️ Navkom stainless finger scanner
▪️ Stainless peephole

No off-the-shelf thinking here - just a door designed to suit the home they’ve created, built, and will live in.

This is what it’s all about.
The moment it all becomes real.

F700 design | RAL 7005, Mouse grey

1350 x 2400mm oversized glazed entrance, designed from the outset to be big, clean, and full of light.

This is their first home they’ve built - and like most self-builds, every decision matters.

The front door is one of the biggest. Not just in cost, but in how the whole house is seen and felt from the very first step.

No flooring down yet. Still a building site. But this is the moment it all clicks.

That first open.
That first look back.
That quiet “we’ve done it” feeling.

What started as an idea using our online door designer is now a full-scale reality. The design, paired with the oversized HP90 stainless handle, brought to life exactly as envisioned.

Built in-house to suit the opening exactly, with full-height glazing keeping the design minimal and letting the proportions do the work.

Our hinged doors are fully PAS24 tested at full size, allowing us to manufacture up to 1540 x 3000mm without compromise - making them ideal for new builds where scale is part of the design from day one.

We look forward to seeing their home complete.

Where golf balls flew | Front doors now stand ⛳ 》🏡

Two former golf driving range buildings, once home to practice swings and bucket loads of balls, now reimagined as contemporary living spaces – both finished with statement Fortis entrance doors measuring approximately 3.8m x 2.1m.

Design: F800
Door leaf & handle: Elements Peat Fire
Frame: RAL 7045 externally / RAL 9016 internally
Glazing: Clear triple glazed units set within a single-piece frame for added strength and stability

One of the two doors is fitted with our 4 in 1 Uni Lock system, offering keyless entry with smart access convenience.

The scale, proportions and that Peat Fire finish against the clean glazing make these a real focal point.

We cannot wait to see them once the buildings are fully rendered and clad – the final finish will completely change the look.

Where the Apex meets precision.

Built around the pitch of the roof using our Apex profile, this installation follows the architecture exactly as intended.

A angled fanlight, deep structural header to conceal the internal steel, and a one piece frame construction that keeps the entire surround clean and uninterrupted.

Finished in Elements Radioactive inside and out, set against a RAL 7016, frame and hinges.
Satin triple glazed units bring in light while maintaining privacy.

Fully integrated specification:

▪️Navkom BioTouch access control: fingerprint, keypad and app control
▪️Dual sided recessed handles with integrated, continuous warm white LED lighting - both sides
▪️ Black cylinder detailing

A matching grey post box and twin house signs will be fitted once rendering is complete.

An entrance that matches the address...

Out with the old timber door.
In with an oversized 2500mm-high double doorset that finally suits the scale of the building.

We removed the flag lights to fully open the entrance, creating a strong, uninterrupted opening that immediately stands out.

This is our - F915 design, finished with black hardware and the colour in RAL 9005, jet black fine structure.

Confident, balanced, and entirely at home in a stately setting.

A single change that resets the arrival.
