Sign & Rhyme Fun and playful baby and toddler signing and singing groups with songs, musical instruments and stories to develop early interactive skills Hello – I’m Marie.

My experience as a speech and language therapy assistant, coupled with my signing skills (British Sign Language Stage 2), sparked my enthusiasm for baby signing. I’ve been teaching baby signing for some time now, and I can appreciate the benefits for both you and your child: it’s a fun and rewarding way to make the most of your baby’s natural ability to communicate; it encourages and supports thei

r language development - you will always use signs together with the spoken word - giving them a head start when they begin to use their vocabulary, spelling and reading skills; and it strengthens the bond between you and your child.

🥰 Babies can understand so much before they actually talk, and baby signing enables them to communicate their emotions and needs effectively. Your ability to understand these needs through simple signs gives you the confidence to respond appropriately and helps to reduce frustration for you and your baby. The learning process is great fun, too and the classes are relaxed and friendly. 🥰 Weekly ‘Song in a Bag’ sessions. Age range birth to five years - £5 per session or £22.00 for five weeks (please note there are no refunds given for missed sessions if you pay in five week blocks.) Lots of fun for you and your little ones. Interactive session of signing and singing, musical instruments and so much more for you all to enjoy.


🥰 Five-week baby signing course to include handouts, £40, payable in advance. Age range 6months to twelve months. Learn specific signs to use with your baby in their daily routine. Lots of fun for you and your baby, a very interactive session for you all to enjoy.

We saw wonderful early communication today - especially the lovely eye contact between one of our mums and her little boy as he chose 'I’m A Mean Old Dinosaur 🦖' for our circle song. We all love this song🥰

Our syllable clapping was brilliant too. Oliver led with Banana🍌 followed by Apples🍏 from Zak, Salmon🐟 from Rory, and Grapes 🍇from Freddie. Great listening, tapping and very healthy suggestions too🤣🥳

I think you all enjoyed our 'Peek - A - Boo' song❤️, lots of lovely smiles from everyone🥰.

"So long, farewell… it’s time to say goodbye" 🥲
We said goodbye to one of our lovely boys today as he gets ready to start school next week ❤️.
Charlie, we will miss you so much. We’ve loved having you at the group and watching you grow, learn and develop 🥰.
Wishing you all the very best as you begin this exciting new chapter- making new friends, new adventures and lots of wonderful things to discover🥰. Do come back and see us in Half Term😍.

Great to see one of our families return to us today as they had a day off from work🥰. Fantastic to see you both, thank you for coming along and do pop back whenever you can, you will always be welcome❤️.

I think you liked finding the noisy animals in our story book today 'ROAR ROAR', what great sounds they made🦁🐒🐍🦉🐘, my favourite was the OWL, what was your little ones favourite? 🥳.

Lovely sharing from Freddie and Charlie today with the fire engine and the dust truck 🥳.

Well done to one of our younger boys who has learnt the sign for 'MILK' and is now attempting the sign for 'MORE' 🥰. Well done🥳.

I think you all liked our sea activity today -but where did all the children go😱, ahh, yes, of course 'Under The Sea....'🤣. You all looked very relaxed under there🤣, but thank goodness you did have enough energy to 'SPLASH', and 'JUMP in the water also🥰

Hi everyone it was great to see you all again on this sunny morning🥰.

A warm welcome to our new family who came along today 🥰 so pleased to hear you enjoyed the session and we are looking forward to seeing you both again next Wednesday🥰.

Also great to see one of our families return for the holiday sessions 🥰. Lovely to meet the new addition to the family too, such a happy chappy😍, and big brother helping out showing him what to do at 'drum time' 🥳.

One of our families will be leaving us🥲 as Louie will now be going to nursery❤️. It has been so lovely meeting you and getting to know you both, we will miss you, but we will look forward to seeing you in half term🥰. Have a great time at nursery Louie making lots of new friends and learning lots more exciting things🤩.

Amazing work from our Traffic Controllers Freddie and Zak today! And great effort from everyone else with RED stops, GREEN noise, and AMBER slow‑motion fun. Well done 🥳

Great attention and listening at story time '10 Wriggly Caterpillars🐛' brilliant counting too, well done everyone🥳.

We did plenty of twirling today during our circle songs - everyone loves a good twirl 😊. And thanks to a special request from one of the boys, you all even had enough energy for Sleeping Bunnies with lots of enthusiastic hopping 🤣

🥳Hip, Hip, Hip Hurray for Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth day🥳.

🥰It was so lovely to see you all, but a bit sad to say goodbye to the children who will be starting school - I will miss you, but you will all have an amazing time at school. I wish you all the very best 🥰you will be brilliant😍.

The children enjoyed their instrument time this morning, and it was great to see you all being very attentive watching our little bird go slowly down the pole - you kept really quiet with your instruments🤫 well done everyone🥳.

We had some great suggestions for what you could see in the sea - we had water💧💧, crabs🦀🦀, sharks🐋🐋🤣, waves🌊🌊, fish🐟 and an octopus 🐙. FAN-TAS-TIC.

I enjoyed watching you all demonstrating the zebra🦓going 'clippity clop', and also the giraffe🦒eating leaves. It was lovely to see one of the young girls signing and saying GIRAFFE🥰. Well done all of you🥳.

PHEW!! - a warm Sign & Rhyme at Bagworth Commuity Centre this morning☀️The sun was shining and so were your lovely smiles🙂. Thank you so much for coming along🥰.

🥳A huge congratulations to another one of our mums who will be expecting her baby the beginning of January🥰. We shall look forward to seeing your new arrival🥰.

We had such a lovely session today, filled with music, smiles, and brilliant participation. Here are some of the standout moments that made the day:

🥳 Elsie treated us to some lovely singing and signing.

🥳 Charlie did great sharing and joined in beautifully.

🥳 Louie impressed everyone with his fantastic tidying away.

🥳 Freddie brought so much energy with his enthusiastic drumming.

🥳 Isla did a wonderful job looking after Mr Bump.

🥳 Rory showed fantastic facial expressions as we read I Love You As Big As the World.

🥳 Freya demonstrated great listening throughout.

🥳 Oliver shared lovely smiles when he chose the dinosaur.

🥳 Samuel looked very happy tapping the tambourine, especially with mummy’s help.

🥳 Elsie enjoyed shaking her instruments with lots of enthusiasm.

🥳 George showed great excitement when he chose the zebra.

🥳 And last but certainly not least - a huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents who always join in. Your energy and involvement make such a difference to the session

🥰We said a fond farewell to Charlie as he will be starting school in September - it has been great seeing you at Sign & Rhyme and we all wish you well as you start school in September. We wish you all the very best🥰 - Do come back and see us in the school holidays😍.

A tiny new face joined us at Sign & Rhyme today… welcome to baby Katie, only two weeks old! 🥰
Huge congratulations to Leah and her family on their beautiful new addition. It was so lovely to see you all. ❤️

The children loved being our traffic‑light controllers today - green for go, yellow for very slow, red for STOP! Although one of our mums was enjoying shaking her instrument so much she didn’t quite stop at red… such a lovely fun moment🤣🎵

Story Time -Say “BOO” To The Animals We loved hearing you join in with - 'BOO' 🤣🐾Well done all of you🥳.

🥰Our last session for Sign & Rhyme is next Wednesday 8th July. Then we will have a short break and we will be back for some extra summer sessions on Wednesday 12th, 19th and 26th August🥰.

🥳It's Tuesday, so what does that mean.....it means a fun time had by all at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning - YAY🥳. Thank you for joining in with all the activities.

Lovely to hear you all singing along to the songs, and doing all the actions too🥰. We enjoyed diving into the sea with the elephants, twinkling our fingers for stars, Choo Chooing along to our train song, and jumping, clapping or twirling around for our Where is... song.🥰. You all did brilliantly, well done everyone🥳🥰.

I think you all enjoyed our story today - 🐉Little Dragons Big Surprise.
It was great to hear you trying to roar, or pretending to breathe smoke rings, but the best bit was you all cheering 'HURRAY' when the little dragon eventually did all the things he wanted to do and became a big dragon 🥰.

I hope you all have a great week, and I shall look forward to seeing you all next Friday🥰.

Congratulations to one of our mums who got married at the weekend and is expecting another baby in December. We wish you and your family all the very best for the future🥳🥂

We had some great facial expressions from Elsie when we were singing & signing to Three Little Monkeys🐒🐒🐒, especially with the line 'you can't catch me!!'🐊 🤣. Well done Elsie🥳.

We love seeing these magic moments each week as the children grow in confidence - from big smiles to taking turns, helping each other, and forming those first friendships 🥰

For our circle song, we support their communication by starting with two visual actions and naming them clearly. At first, the children copy an action… and over time, this develops into them spontaneously choosing and saying their own action. A great step in early communication and confidence 🥰. Well done everyone🥳.
